This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

It's basically a universe that embraced life and annihilated death after the original Captain Marvel was manipulated into such a thing by the Many-Angled Ones, a series of incredibly powerful interdimensional monsters that included Shuma Gorath in their ranks.
And because life was accepted, it created an eternal hell of unkillable beings that were planning to spread their teachings across all universes after a breach was formed due to the events of The War of Kings.
On the subject of the Cancerverse, was the Thanos Imperative an awesome story or what? I don't know what I liked best, Rocket threatening the Mad Titan with eternal life, the Silver Surfer appearing just to announce that friggin' Galactus had arrived, the big epic space battles, or the climax, with Rider and Quill.
So awesome.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)I quite liked it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe Dn A cosmic stuff would be the starting point. From Annihilation to Thanos Imperative. More currently, I'd recommend Ultimates, by Al Ewing. It's going to be very much a cosmic book, and it's got an awesome line-up. Abnett will be doing a Guardians of Infinity book, so if you like the Dn A cosmic stuff, it'll probably be worth getting. And of course, Silver Surfer under Slott and Allred is amazing.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. What I liked the most about Silk this week is that Jameson shows what kind of champion he can be for a web warrior if he DID'NT have an envious bias. He's able to see right through Silk's operation and still peg her as a hero with an agenda, even casting his mind back to previous Skrull invasions and other potential explanations. So nice to see the Spidey cast with their thinking caps on.
And Annie May Parker has been added to the Unlimited game.

So where are these comics where Jamenson come around? Are they on Marvel Unlimited?
Also anyone know if there is a DC equivalent? Or Darkhorse or Indigo?
Are you referring to the picture posted in this thread where Jameson is watching Peter saving people and realizes he's a hero? That's from Ultimate Spider-man, and the entire thing is on marvel unlimited.
The more the current newspaper Spider-Man story goes on, the more I have to wonder what the Avengers must be occupied with that they haven't shown up at all.
I agree. This has balooned into a massive international incident.
Then again, this IS a group that, when approached by Peter for help, shrugged their shoulders when a lovesick Thor abducted MJ and took her to Asguard and were busy with other things. MJ almost died in that story too for god's sake.
Spoiler-y Recapping:
- Carnage #2: Jameson turns into Man-Wolf, while the mine owner turns out to be a Darkhold cultist with plans for either him or Carnage.
- Silk #1: Cindy is actually working for S.H.I.E.L.D., having agreed to infiltrate Black Cat's gang for them in exchange for them helping her search for her family. Phil has recreated the Goblin Formula (or the closest approximation of it that he is capable of) and is giving it to members of the Goblin Nation.
- Venom: Space Knight #1: A family is kidnapped by space pirates who want to use their blood as a chemical weapon. Flash saves them, and also picks up a suicidal robot sidekick.
Damnit, Phil
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo I just read the new Venom issue & I thought it was a pretty good start. Good art & Flash's deal with what an Agent of Cosmos is was funny. My only complaint is I cant get on with calling the Symbiote "Klyntar". I honestly prefer when it was just the Symbiote, I guess Klyntar dosnt fit. Another issue is why Flash himself keeps calling his suit Klyntar. Even it that's the actual name for its species his Klyntar suit is still Venom so it seems odd to be calling it in such an in-personal sense.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."My main takeaway from the issue was an owl-woman with big breasts. I just have trouble getting over that.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Wut
Forever liveblogging the Avengershooters pun tho.
Flash gets knocked into a building full of alien telemarketers◊, one of whom was a big breasted owl woman.
I'm less weirded out by her existence and more that she decided she wanted to date Venom after less than five minutes of non-interaction.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSure she's not an owlbear person? Would explain the mammalian parts.
Flash is just that good.
Ok can we drop the owl person? Its pretty irrelevant.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."In Iron Man, it's revealed MJ's nightclub buisness is booming, and she's moved to Chicago
Also gave the foreshadow on why she will eventually end up working for Stark. Tony is obviously going to destroy her Night Club by accident and hire her as his assistant to make up for it.
Yeah, that makes sense.
Actually, it's kind of nice Bendis didn't forget about The nightclub, it allows a much smoother transition from one status quoe to the next rather than a jarring shift. Also liked the little touch of MJ name-dropping the man who was the Superior Spider-Man, but not the actual Spidey.

An entire universe made of Eldritch Abomination, basically.
