"Tri-county area"

I assume you're ignoring orange county? Or I'm thinking of a different tri-county area?

Anyway, I'm in San Bernardino county and I see the signs you refer to all the time, and dozens of businesses that have a bunch of signs in spanish or bear spanish names, and I don't give a fuck, despite being a white american who's family has been here since the 1820s. It's not a damn invasion, as far as I can tell.

Well, I care, so that's where our opinions diverge, we can get back on topic now.

I swear, if we hear another word from Texas about how Obama's policies for economic recovery are going to run us into the ground...I won't really be able to do much about it, I guess. sad

The signs in California used to be entirely in Spanish.

Being mostly white is kind of a short period in California's history, really. You're the weird ones, not them.

It should be obvious that expecting the world to arrange itself in the way that's most convenient for you is simply entitlement.

For instance, the only train lines through Pasadena just go downtown, so if you want to go anywhere other than downtown, it's absurdly inconvenient—getting to the Burbank Airport (18 miles away) is like a 4-hour trip. But complaining about it is stupid, because the train lines weren't designed just for me, and they're perfectly convenient for other people living other places.
