She sounds like a Tsundere. I suspected she might have turned out like that. Interesting.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...I don't really like Tsundere's. But we'll have to see how the episode plays out...either way, from what i've seen of the spoilers, i don't think i'll like Pumyra.
Yeah, I have a bad feeling the writers are going to botch up her intro. I think we should give her another episode before passing judgement on the character though, considering she stops being mad and starts being nice by the end of the episode. Someone compared her intro to Panthro's. He started out a lot more serious and grumpy, but now he's more lighthearted. Those spoilers that guy provides are so vague anyway.
Let's just wait for the previews and see what happens. She may turn out to not really be a Tsundere, or at least end up a type B. I personally wouldn't mind either way, I think a Tsundere would make a nice addition to the team's dynamic.
One more thing, I put together a little thing combing clips from the new show with tracks from the classic series soundtrack (which was finally found after years of waiting for it to be released):

Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...Interesting....my main concern with Pumyra (i don't ship her and Lion-o)is that she'll act interested in Lion-o, then go get with Bengali, or someone else all in the name of "Lion-o needs to learn something/can't have everything", or that she'll be a bland uninteresting plot piece like Cheetara has turned out to be; good in the beginning, gets with someone and forgets what she's supposed to be doing and her "fleshing out" via flashback is ill timed and later holds no meaning other than so someone can one up Lion-o and he'll have to grow up or something. That and making any romance with them incredibly stupid. Or the writers will have them get together to "appease" the L/C fans who they sorta screwed over with the first 11 episodes of "signals". I could see Lion-o having doubts that she's interested given how he "misread" Cheetara's signals. Even Tygra thought Cheetara was interested, after all. I want at least one female character to be strong, independent and not used as fanservice and dumbed down/forgetting her powers when it's needed, instead of using them at random to free some fruit from a tree.

Anyone heard from Ghilz?
Been Busy with work. Liveblog will be up tomorow or the day after.
Well, hello there Pumyra.◊
Is that her tail or a pony tail behind her?
"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."I think that's a tail.
No, it's her hair. here's some more screenshots: http://www.nickandmore.com/2012/04/25/thundercats-the-pit-images-description/ i hate rat tails.
She looks great.
With the power of a dragon I can make up for my inability to spill. My first reaction was...disappointment that Pumyra doesn't have a tail like I had hoped =/
But other than that this looks promising. I like Pumyra's new design, but I can't figure out who her voice actor is. The previews don't give much to go on, other than basically spoiling who the villain is this episode, but I doubt it would be hard to guess. Dobo sounds kind of like Steve Blum. And haha, I see what they did with the name there.

Heh, Pumyra's beautiful when she snarls.

Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...Just wanted to throw this in: most complains about this show are about the story. And here is my response.
An animated show does not have to be Avatar deep to be good. This one has just enough backstory and characterization to give the reason for protagonists to do action stuff. And nothing about that is bad.
If you want something multilayered and intellectual, watch The Legend Of Korra. But if you just want a good action show, you can watch Thundercats just as well.

My angry rant blog!I would normally agree with you, but the thing is the showrunners promised a good action show with a good story, just go back and watch all those behind the scenes production videos where the producers and the actors go on and on about how good the story is, and how they have developed the characters, and how important the love triangle is, etc etc etc.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.No, most complaints are about the writing and continuity. And the Characterization/back story, is IMO, very horrible. We were told the Love Triangle would be important, but it was resolved in two episodes via flashbacks by two kids about a flower. Also, the action in this show isn't very good. I've seen much better; and the inconsistency of the characters and how they fight is ridiculous — Tygra beats the crap out of Lion-o with a copy So O, but a couple episodes earlier Lion-o was doing pretty good against the Duelist.
Agreed.
My complaint has always been that the show feels so thin. I love what's there, I'd just like it to be a bit deeper. The writing could do with some more punch and life.
In case you haven't noticed, the story has been getting better and better as the show went on.
Let's wait and hope for awesome.
My angry rant blog!Better and better? Really? The stories/plot for the last few episodes (as well as 12 and 13) were full of plot holes/contradictions and retcons for main characters, as well as obvious pandering for Tygra stans in Native Son to "justify" him being a horrible brother to Lion-o for 18 years because Lion-o was born in the first place. And the Aesops keep getting worse.

Despite the flaws pointed out, which I agree are true to some extent, I still really like this show, and even though I know there are technically better or less flawed cartoons airing now, this one is my personal favorite.
That being said, I think Warner Bros. really should have gotten better writers on board, and they could have considering how good most of the DCAU and Young Justice have been. Also, they need better story boarders to ensure continuity within individual scenes and increase the quality of the action. I don't understand why Warner Bros. skimped on these areas considering the past work.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...@Klark: There might be some decent episodes, but there are very few, and that's the real problem, there's no real consistency, none of the elements, storytelling, pacing, characterization, world building, none of them are consistent, and quite frankly is very jarring if the story just starts to be good after 15 episodes (which I don't think it is), whatever they've been doing before that?
And I agree with hollowdheart, it's not that good of an action show either, at least when compared to others, like Young Justice.

I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.Sometimes i wonder if the writers from Episodes Between Brothers to Survival of the Fittest have even watched the show. In AP Cheetara says she should have been clearer with her feelings, as she caused some of the issues with the brothers, but the next episode she blames Lion-o for getting "mixed signals". She also mentions that she "heard what happened in there" but doesn't mention this to Lion-o or say anything to Tygra about him pushing Lion-o into a pit, but still thinks he's the same "kind" boy who gave her a magic flower that resulted in her getting her Cleric dream fulfilled, only because she noticed it was magical right before she was going to give up.

Honestly I don't have any problems with what I've seen. Obviously things could be better, a good deal better, but I'm watching episodes from the original series as I'm watching these and compared to the bad writing of that show this one seems like a masterpiece.

Someone in Ireland already saw The Pit and said Pumyra flipflopped with Lion-o; hating him one moment and flirting with him the next so, i'm not sure what to make of it. but i agree with your statement about Cheetara.
