Hold down the triangle button when a rock or tower appears. You can't lock it down but if you press hard when you see that blue reticule on those objects it should work.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Oh, you hold it down? I'll have to try that.
Sorry for the double post, but it's been a little while.
I'm trying to deliver a Lucian tomato for a quest, but the guy I'm supposed to give it to won't take it. I press X in front of the quest marker and all he does is talk to me. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
In the counter in front of that guy there is something you can interact with and it says something like "Quest X". That's what you've got to interact with to finish the quest.
That's what I'm doing.
Come to think of it, I should check to see if I still have the tomato in the first place. I might've cooked with it by mistake.
EDIT: Yup, that was my problem.

...
Sometime Payoff isn't enough, The Big wow moment isn't enough...
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Figured this should be posted because it's funny as all hell
That was glorious
Also I'm very glad to know that you can go back and do stuff later, because that means I can blow through the rest of the story with no reservations instead of worrying about whether to put it on hold when Tales of Berseria comes out tomorrow.
How about those story DL Cs... :/
Mileena MadnessIt looks like all of the preorder DLC stuff for the game will be up for regular download in certain places
GOH! JII! RAH!Double posting because this was the more appropriate thread.
I completed Chapter 1 of Final Fantasy XV.
I do like running and driving in the world, listening to the remix of Final Fantasy 1 NES' soundtrack. Magic was pretty weird to get used too, but once I understood how to use catalysts it became more manageable and fun. Instead of buying new swords I had the Masamune DLC sword as one of my go to weapons for the entire first chapter, because I figured it would lose potency pretty soon afterwards, and followed the same route with my party and their starting weapons. I legit like the banter between the Crownsguard and Noctis, a good part of the reason why because I watched the Brotherhood anime. Cid-ney is just there, but Real Cid makes up for her.
The hunts are fun as long as you know what you're doing and don't bite off more than you can chew. Green and Yellow signs are the way to go, but some of the high level Yellow signs need a strategy beyond "hit it til it dies" if you're ill equipped. I found that out when I did the "Squash the Squirmers" Hunt, because I was dumb and thought I could damage a Flan-type enemy with just melee. I had no choice but to stall the fight until daytime came and the Flan would take 500 damage per second under sunlight. This was before I knew how to make magic at all - I wasted the premade magic the game stared me with. The other hunts I did were much easier in comparison, but now I know better for the newer Hunts.
The story I already know from start to finish, but it's nice to actually play the game to learn about it. Chapter 1 is pretty fun and casual in the plot department, even if some wouldn't agree with me. The Kingsglaive scenes only remind me how uneasy I felt about relying on so much supplementary material for the story though. Storytelling wise, I did like seeing the Nifelhiem airships flying about The Regalia as the party was driving towards the climax of the chapter.

...Carbuncle just referenced "Moogli Gras".
...Does the Final Fantasy series have Catholicism?
...I wish I could feed fish to Carbuncle.

I'm at the end of chapter 12, I think, and I have a question. Gentiana wasn't Shiva the whole time, was she? I'm assuming she became Shiva after the first one died, but the game didn't feel like explaining the whole thing, so I don't know for sure.
Anyway, I'd love to finish this game today, but given what I've heard about the next chapter, I'm not sure that'll happen. I'll see how it goes.
I think she was Shiva the entire time.
As for the next chapter, being a few levels higher than the enemies can help, but it's still a long slog through it.

Gentiana has been Shiva for a long time according to what Ardyn says to her before she freezes him
... Apparently Shiva Merged/Overtook Gentiana after her giant form was killed by the Empire.
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Just hit chapter 14. I would love to see badass daemon hunter Iris, but I doubt the game's going to let me.
Chapter 13 wasn't as bad as I expected, probably because I was much higher level than the enemies. It was, however, time-consuming and annoying. Also I'm going to have to look up what those research papers said, because by the time I started noticing them, there were only two left.

I'm in Chapter 6. I spent most of my playtime doing sidequests and Hunts and leveling up. Not much story to report on, but it seems like over the course of the 4 new chapters I played the plot shifted from "find the Royal Arms" to "find the Astrals and earn their favor", and this is all going on before I actually get to Altissa. I already know what happens, but I found the change in direction pretty funny. Speaking of summons, they're really badass looking this time around. I'm still not sure if Ramuh was supposed to be summoned at the climax of Chapter 5, but seeing him in action was awe inspiring.
So I heard about MA-X Angelus, and when I saw it, I thought it was basically good ol' Warmech from Final Fantasy I, ported over to XV.
I have to ask, before I get this game, is MA-X Angelus as...interesting...as Warmech was in terms of difficulty?
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Angelus is that a Drakengard reference I spot!
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Like most superbosses in XV it's a damage sponge. In this case it's a damage sponge that also hits really, really hard, which doesn't mean much since you can just spam potions whenever you're injured.
So I guess not really, since Warmech generally just killed you quickly and got on with its life.
Preorder DLC coming available later? I certainly hope so because I'm salty as fuck that I didn't pay enough attention to thepreorder campaign and missed my shot at the Gae Bolg.
It already happened to the Royal Raiment. 49 cents to buy it.
I was talking about rocks and stuff. So you just have to aim right?
