The point you got across was "Girls". You expect 'girls' (it's not the terminology that bothers me—girls, women, females, let's go with VAGINAS) to have something inside them, unifying them into something you can understand. You know what I'm not? A VAGINA. I'm a complex organism—a human, actually, and I've probably got as much in common with you, Sand, buddy, fellow human, as I have with lets go with Mr. AHR, with the obvious exception of AHR and I both having VAGINAS.

I like diet coke, and the color green, and moody post-apocalyptic sci fi and dry, understated humor that makes you smirk instead of laugh, and I like betrayal tropes and the aesthetics of overstylized comic-book blood and similar splattering liquids, and I have a special love-hate relationship with those books where the interesting part of the story is held back until the very end—happening offscreen—and then told in a single shot of epic, and if you showed all that to another person—any other person—EVEN IF THEY HAD A VAGINA— they would wonder what you were going for and why you were in their house showing them this thing and that's because I think with my brain not my let's say it one more time for good measure VAGINA.

You know what's fun?

Read this post in a normal, conversational voice, except...

Whenever you get to the word "VAGINA:"

Take a deep breath, drop your voice at least an octave to the "monster truck rally announcer baritone" range, and read it as loud as possible, making sure to repeat the syllable "gina" a few times to make it sound like an echo.

You see, I've got a Mexican protagonist so obviously whites won't read it

Please tell me this is an exaggeration.

It's supposed to be mocking(can't think of a better term right now) this thread.

What's that phenominon, where no matter how obviously overblown you try to make something, someone on the internet will take it seriously?

(=P I'm sure there's someone who would say that in earnest.)

Read the rest of the thread Ivy, and it should make sense.

I know, but even though the OP sounds intentionally dumb enough, it's still only implied. But what's written between the spoiler tags is enough of a give away imo.

Poe's Law

(Honestly, if someone really did ask me something like "What Do Mexicans Like to See in a Story?" I either wouldn't take the question seriously or take all the stupid shit that comes with it as seriously as that sentence alone)

"Before seeing me as a Complete Monster who should be banned for being a troll".

Doesn't seem to shout "I am a TROLL!!" to me.

Besides, I wouldn't judge someone because they got the word troll labeled on their forehead. Whether or not they're a troll is dependent on their actions.

I should really have added a tongue tag to that one - I said that in a very, very joking manner.

That aside, I think I should stop now before I'd derail this thread further.

More deserts, tequila, and drug trafficking.

@Daybrayk: Here you are.

But seriously, while I totally agree with your opinions, there's still the fact that girls do have different preferences from men. You know society etc. etc. etc. That's been already said though, I'm just supporting the stereotypes.

Oh my god.

This thread is glorious. Especially page 2.

I am so saving this shit when I can.

I don't.

Personally I would always, always try to offend people, and I do not think anything like this can ever be classified as funny. What I saw was that Sand was trying to ask a question with all due honesty, some other souls got offended, and lo, we could have moved this entire thread to ED and be done with it.

Once again, guys, can't we all get along?

[up]Dae already said herself that it's not just Sand though. So many people before kept asking about the opposite gender in writing. Dae is just trying to point out that you should write without generalizing too much. Or something like that.

I don't think Dae is trying to offend Sand or anything sad.

What I mean is that Sand offended Dea without knowing it, and she responded in kind. Which irked me to no end - he didn't mean to lump you all together for being girls, damn it!

Sometimes I thought I should have remained on the Battleon Forums. The mods there were brutal in putting down trouble spots like this.

I am a gay black disabled jewish left-handed transgender hermaphrodite with an eating disorder. This thread is offensive.

Also, OP reminds me a lot of someone or other from the Nationstates forums — don't remember who, but I like her.

I have devised a most marvelous signature, which this signature line is too narrow to contain.
