Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI've long been unsure as to why we don't have a page for that already. Must be countless examples!

Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.I am proposing a renaming to this trope Character Escapist Phase . with Escapism as a redirect.
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Personally, I think "Character Escapist Phase" could be a bit too limiting. I mean, escapism is a major theme in stuff like Paranoia Agent or Evangelion (Asuka playing video games is just scratching the surface), where it pretty much defines the worldview of their entire casts. Trying to peg the escapism to a particular, insular phase could lead to a lot of stuff being neglected.
Why not try merging some of the critical points in the Analysis and putting them onto the main page? The top looks underdefined, and looks left in an "open category"-like state.
Oh, the irony: escaping from the problems that already have problems.
Fandoms are insane.Fixed title.
The current article only defines what escapism is.But it isn't a trope.Furthermore an article explaining escapims from a metapoint of view already exists here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Analysis/Escapism
I think it would be better if it was a trope about characters relying in escapims as a mechanism of defense when facing troubles.Instead of an article defining the concept.
