Or your nightmares. Who knows?
I'm feeling strangely happy now, contented and serene. Oh don't you see, finally I'll be, somewhere that's green...Yeah, you may be right about that one. I've always sort of dreamed of being the one to adapt the musical into a film, because in my mind it is sacred so I would be physically unable to mince it up in order to make a profit.
I don't want realism, I want magic!Just so long as it's not by that guy who did the Phantom Of The Opera movie.
I had forgotten about that...ugh. And if they get some teen idol to play Eponine or Marius I might just lose faith in all humanity.
I don't want realism, I want magic! Now I'm imagining Miley Cyrus as Eponine and Justin Bieber as Marius. Thanks a lot. (Although that would explain why nobody likes Eponine.)
Nick Jonas just played Marius in London, so who knows?
Actually I saw him and he wasn't too terrible in it. But still.
I don't want realism, I want magic!I hope their One Day More is tolerable.
I'm feeling strangely happy now, contented and serene. Oh don't you see, finally I'll be, somewhere that's green...Alan Parker tried to get it made in the 1990's with Tri Star distributing but it was decided instead to do a straight adaptation of the book (and Bille August replaced Parker as director).

Humour, where would we be without it? In Germany, probablyFrom the BBC documentary on Matt Lucas, it seems pretty likely that Matt Lucas will be Thenardier (or at least Cam Mack would seriously consider him). Due to the widespread negativity about Nick Jonas at the O2 concert, even from casual viewers, I doubt that he woule be asked to play Marius in a film.
Not like anybody cares, but they want Tom Hooper.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Hmm, I could see him doing a good job, provided he does his homework and stuff.
I don't want realism, I want magic!Tom Hooper is the right man for the job
Humour, where would we be without it? In Germany, probablyAbout time.
Now where' ma' Wicked film?
Aaaaaaawwwwwww yeeeah.
The one thing everyone seems to be terrified of the possibility of is celebrity stunt casting.
And maybe also Marius/Eponine shippers.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."If they make it basically the same as the musical, it will be better than any other Les Mis film that's been made so far. I like the idea in principle - it makes the musical (which is awesome) more accessible to people who can't afford to go see a performance of it.
I'm not sure about better than any other. I've never seen it, but apparently there's a version from 1934 that tends to be held as the most-lauded adaptation, at least as far as accuracy to the book goes.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Ooh, say, I've got an idea! Let's torture ourselves a bit. Let's play "what's the worst that could happen?" Let's try to think of the absolute worst Adaptation Decay that could possibly take place in this movie.
What would it be? Marius/Eponine becoming Official Couple? Cutting the barricade? Do a repeat of the 2000 miniseries and imply Valjean/Cosette? WHAT WOULD IT BE?
UPDATE: Found this posted over at Musicals.net by one "sueb1863." Hooper seems to be a lock.

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."So... Alfie Boe as Valjean? Please?
Everybody's guessing Lea Michele as Eponine. I'm not sure if I'd like that...
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Is this supposed to be a musical film (like Sweeney Todd was a few years back)?
Or a film, based off of a musical? Like Les Miserables was back in 1998?
So this is happening. Has anyone heard anything else about it?
Are all my dreams really coming true?
