That's really the only Mecha series I can think of that have a notable spin off series that isn't an OVA.

I thought you meant that you were sure that no song in Gundam SEED was legal for this game. I'm pretty sure it's legal (as stated at the start), which I'll explain once someone gets it. So I was asking if you thought it contradicted a particular hint.

Now, for the potentially-contentious parts:

• Akatsuki no Kuruma is an insert song in the Gundam SEED TV episodes, but it's the second ED in the Special Editions, which can technically be considered miniseries in the form of 3 feature-length films broadcast on TV.
• FictionJunction YUUKA is a solo project.
• It never gets explained in-series, but SpaceWhales exist(ed) in the Gundam SEED universe. Hence, evidence of extraterrestrial life.
