Dark Matter was referenced in Squeak Squad actually; lore says that Dark Nebula is some kind of offshoot of it.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! So the True Arena is really goddamn hard.
The new update’s live, and the new dream friends come with new levels.

Oh, that's today? Sweet.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I think it's canon that Marx is the "friend" that told Magolor about Kirby, at least via Word of God. He's definitely been back for a while but we've never gotten an explanation how.
Edit: Oh, wait. You probably meant "being around" as in "being buddy buddy with Kirby," didn't you? Never mind...

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I dunno the japanese version of Marx's description makes it sound more canon, particularly the part where not really helping kirby out of feeling sorry, but moreso to save his own ass from the void termina problem
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Honestly, I want Prince Fluff to appear as a dream friend. Aside from having whip as a basis for attacks he can also transform and I reckon they could make some interesting moves out of that.
I do lots of stuff. The real question is am I any good at that stuff.I actually did mean "alive".
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!God I cannot beat the True Arena. I keep tripping up at Clone Dedede and can't get past Sectonia Clone. Stupid double fight.
It took me 9 hours of continuous attempts to beat the Superstar Ultra True Arena and I don't think I'm up for that again.
Didn't this Star Allies update give us more illustrations? If so, where are they?
imo trying to 100% Helper to Hero is much harder than doing True Arena.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? This update comes with a ton of new content.
At least twelve new levels, since every new dream friend gets one new level per world in GSA, Every new dream friend has new music remixes for their final boss in GSA (I’ve heard the original dream friends also get new music remixes but I can’t confirm that specifically). Morpho Knight rocking a new background is now an Ultimate Choice boss when playing as the new dream friends. Every Dream Friend now has a unique title theme and ending theme for GSA.
I've died four times to Sectonia Clone now and can't improve my fight against the Dedede Clones so I quit.
Probably not too many things more humiliating in a game than ragequitting Kirby.
Have you tried cheesing it with Archer or Leaf?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I can only get far with Hammer.
I tried cheesing it with Leaf. I felt like a coward who didn't deserve to reach Star Dream, even though I died immediately at that point because I was at a sliver of health. Had basically the same problems as you. Dedede Clones always got some hits in, and the Sectonia/Dark Matter clone battle was just too much.
Use Archer or Leaf and play defensively. The former is completely invincible when crouching, the latter is invincible when guarding. Archer's the cheesier of the two since it has a powerful attack that can hit from anywhere.
Just bear in mind there's one thing that their invincibilities cannot overcome: the Bonus Boss's last-ditch attack. You have to manually dodge it or else you will die, but it's not too difficult.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Alright I'll try with Archer again.
ESP's dash attack also removes your hitbox so give that try if you're having trouble.
Edit: A neat little thing I've noticed is that the various friends in Star Allies will react differently to being in the Friend Train. Bandanna Waddle Dee goes all starry eyed while Nesper freaks out a bit. XD

I do lots of stuff. The real question is am I any good at that stuff. In the event you ever feel like trying Hammer again, the dash attack and down+B attack both have invincibility frames, so they're not bad to use when trying to dodge attacks. The latter in particular can both help you dodge an attack and deal damage at the same time if your timing's good.
For more general advice: I'd recommend taking a good long break in between True Arena runs. That way you'll have a chance to calm down and have a clearer mind next time you try; frustration just tends to lead to further failure.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Okay I know I asked this before, but which characters from Kirby: Right Back at Ya! do you want to see in the games? (Escargoon made a cameo in Kirby Mass Attack after all)
Archer is really hard to get the hang of.
Aha, I knew the game would have post release content.
As much as I would love Tiffumu and Escargoon I think Escargoon is more likely to get in, as he's pretty popular with the fandom (Me included), while Tiffumu's more divisive.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. Please, there's only one character from the anime worth bringing over, and he also made a cameo in Mass Attack.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Maybe not Right Back At You!, but I would love a Kirby anime that tackled the newer games.
In particular this is two games in a row that references Dark Matter after being left alone since Crystal Shards so I'm thinking the next Kirby game will be a climax to this gameplay style.
