Dang it, page-bottomed.
...I never did play Squeak Squad. Something about it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Some combination of the recycled GBA assets, Nintendo Power more-or-less lying about the return of 64's ability combo mechanics, and uninspired final boss designnote , I guess.
EDIT: Oh, apparently a Spoiler Hound is "[someone who will] do everything in their power to avoid spoilers". I thought it was the exact opposite. >_>

It didn't recycle assets that much...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.The only thing recycled from 0 to 02 was the color palette of red and white. 02 has a wing, a halo, a creepy smile, and whatever the hell that green tail thing is.
"YOU SHALL FEEL THE FLOWER'S WRATH"Well, I remember one review griping about recycled assets, so my young impressionable self just took that at face value.
It was a good, underrated game, but yeah, at that point the recycling of the Nightmare in Dreamland engine was both glaring and outdated.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Well, I mean the mot obvious re-use is the "Shadow" Master Hand...and some enemies.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.And yeah, I have a soft spot for 64, too. It was my first Kirby game, it had charming cutscenes and characters, and neat dynamic camera angles. But it was also slow, had simplistic abilities, and had a lame boss rush mode where you couldn't even use said abilities. There's a reason it didn't really set the stage for future Kirby games.
Still a billion times better than the other "Dark Matter Arc" games.
I really want to see Clean combined with other powers. Kirby attacking Waddle Dees with a flaming broom would make this a day one purchase.
Anybody else catch Nago appear in one of Cleaning Kirby's attacks?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
Be interesting if each Animal Friend popped up as a certain attack for a particular elemental powerup. Kine with Water Kirby, Rick with Ice, etc.
Incidentally thank the maker they brought Water Kirby back. Total game breaker, but its absence was felt in Triple Deluxe and Robobot.
Water was a Game-Breaker? I know Kirby games aren't that difficult but it never struck me as particularly overpowered. Leaf, on the other hand...
But yeah, it's nice to see Water back. I hope it still has the unique property of making Kirby's underwater attack better, too.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Well it was the Wave Surf dash attack, specifically. Does huge damage and makes Kirby invulnerable for a few seconds. Got a lot of use in my play time.
Tornado is the real gamebreaker. Followed by bomb, imo, since it could kill bosses suuuuper quickly.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI mean, most abilities have an invincible dash attack. Water's is pretty good but I wouldn't consider it a game breaker, and its uncontrollability puts you at risk of ending your attack inside a boss or hazard.
Ah, Tornado. That's a name I haven't heard in a while. I like the new attacks it got in Return to Dreamland. Bomb is great, very underrated ability in my opinion.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I just always got my distances just right and made great use of the Wave Surf. Massive damage, invincible, and movement just made it really effective.
Whoa, I leave for a few days and suddenly a new Kirby game is coming out. Looks cool, too.
Sucks that I don't a Switch, though.
Murdering time and space. Now on Twitter.I'm probably going to get a Switch just for Kirby Switch, Pokemon Switch, and ARMS (and maybe Mario Odyssey because even though I'm not a Mario guy and I certainly don't have the money for a fourth game and a new system, it looks absolutely jaw-droppingly amazing).
So does anyone want to see more of Kirby's Blowout Blast?
"Punishment is not the answer. Punishment is easy. It's lazy. Redemption is hard. Redemption makes you work."-Skulduggery PleasantLooks like you got your wish. Release date is 7/6.
Apparently it's a 3D remake of the first Kirby's Dream Land that uses the Kirby 3D Rumble template.
We still don't know what that multiplayer game coming out for the 3DS looks like.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.According to the Nintendo Australia Facebook page, Kirby's Blowout Blast is also seeing an English release on the 7th of July. No video to go with it though.

ooh that makes me so happy. i'm excited.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeSo, I just found out about Team Kirby Clash Deluxe's existence. Then there's Blowout Blast. Did they simply expand the minigames in Robobot into being full games? That's interesting.
Also, the final boss of Kirby Clash Deluxe contains two of my favourite final boss themes combined and I love it.
Murdering time and space. Now on Twitter. They did the same for Triple Deluxe's minigames. It appears to be a trend with modern Kirby, so it's not unreasonable to expect the same from whatever Kirby 2018's minigames are.
FULLY ORCHESTRATED MOONSTRUCK BLOSSOM! THIS NOT A DRILL!
There's also the obligatory Green Greens arrangement, an Air Ride medley, and Happy Birthday, complete with cake presentation!
