So this came in the mail today.
I need to ask something. I read in several places, including our wiki, that Dark Matter's motivation for attacking planets is because that they are jealous of positive emotion, but I can't find a definitive official source. Is that just Fanon, then? Because of Dark Matter is just a Generic Doomsday Villain, we might as well accept them as such.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. It's probably in website stuff.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI just assumed he became evil because Mr. and Mrs. Matter decided to give him the first name "Dark" (seriously, what horrible parent does that?), and he felt that with a name like that, he had no choice but to become evil. I mean, who would accept a resume from someone with the name "Dark Matter"?
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Have you guys seen this OverClocked ReMix album yet? I know I'm a month behind, but I just saw this thread, and there wasn't a post about it, so...
What website stuff? Can anyone point me in this direction?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I haven't seen that anywhere. I think it's just fanon. If it's on the wiki, erase it, and tell people who want to add it back to link to an official source.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!In Kirby 64 Dark Matter wanted the power of Ripple Star's crystal. That is about the only motivation I have seen.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackKirby and Ribbon was so cute that the thread woke up!
BUMP!
Your Honor...... Please don't bump threads without a good reason or actual content in your post.
As for actual meaningful content, 3 Kirby games, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dreamland 3, and Kirby's Dram Course made it onto the Wii U eshop. If you buy 2 of those games, you get the 3rd one free. Deal's good till May 30. http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu/downloads/virtual-console/deals
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Been recently listening to different variations of Dedede's theme, and somehow, not even making it go backwards detracts from its awesomeness.
Is there any way to make it sound bad, or is it literally perfect?
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. You could make the instrumentation like the Sonic Unleashed E rank music?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Somehow, the E rank music is awesome because of the hilarity of the drunken orchestra, so I don't think that's a good way to go.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.I've been playing Amazing Mirror lately, and... is it wrong if I find it actually difficult? I mean, enemies are placed in very inconvenient spots, ability-giving enemies are unusually fast for the series, and enemies in general tend to come in greater numbers than before in this series. That and since this is one of the first Metroidvania games I've played, I'm getting lost a lot.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Yeah, Kirby and Metroidvania are not a good mix. The result ends up being extremely unfair unless you memorize everything.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987The most frustrating thing for me was how you lose your ability EVERY TIME you're hit... or was that Nightmare in Dreamland?
It was still fun nonetheless, though.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaIt might've been Nightmare in Dreamland, as the same thing happens in Kirby's Adventure, the game it was based on.
Yeah, that also happens in Amazing Mirror.
At least one knows WHEN they'll lose their ability, though.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.I think you are more likely to lose your ability if you get hit while your health is lower than average, or if the enemy attacking you is pretty strong.
Eh.The only Kirby games where each attack has a chance to knock the ability out of you is Super Star and Return to Dream Land. Every other game has one hit knock the ability out of you.
Amazing Mirror would be so much less frustrating if it didn't have that. I'm fine with it in Adventure and Squeak Squad, but not in Amazing Mirror.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.In 64, Super Star, Squeak Squad, and Returns the only way you would lost your ability by means of the enemies was if you ran into the enemy two times or got hit by an an enemy's attack/projectile. In any other game it was a One and Done situation.
I'd Say 64, Super Star, and Amazing Mirror are the hardest traditonal Kirby games. Amazing mirror has the level design, the amount of Enemies in each area, and personally find Dark MK and this games final bosses really freakin' hard. So hard I didn't beat it until a year ago.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I wouldn't classify 64 as a traditional Kirby game. I classify it as one of the puzzle-oriented Dark Matter Trilogy. Also, I think Super Star is one of the easiest of the series, thanks entirely to the guard button.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Guard+Mirror tended to break things, yeah.
As someone who's gone through Helper to Hero as every helper, I find most the bosses easy due to memorizing their attacks and even some patterns. (Wham Bam Jewel is about as easy as Masked Dedede in my opinion.)
The True Arena and Galacta Knight still makes me want to cry, though. I had to cheese that using Stone.

I get hit in DL 3 but I don't lose my power very often. And SSU also had the same as DL 3, which is "get hit and you lose your power sometimes". I would assume it's the same for SS.
