I don't know how much a tartelette is worth, but in France croissants are cheap. I happen to be working in Paris right now and lunch break is in a few minutes, I'll take the opportunity to check.

Update: Well I'll be damned; croissants have become much more expensive than I remembered. And by "much", I mean "the price in euros is higher than the price in francs used to be." However, I should also account for the difference between a Parisian bakery (now) and a suburban mall's bread point-of-sale (then).

Anyway, 3€ is still rather cheap for a croissant and tartelette. In the bakery I checked, it would have totaled either €3.90 or €3.95 depending on the kind of croissant.

Well, let's see, letting her leave without giving her credit, the bread, or the clothes, or even the sheet she came in with has to qualify.

Mutual comedy stupidity. Knowing Sandra, she probably went "Aargh! I'm an idiot!" and sprinted out of the shop, covered in confusion and flour and nothing else, before Pierre could say anything.

(Certainly, if Pierre's an idiot, so is Sandra, in that she didn't ask for any of those things.)

Only a mother and her daughter, whom we only saw opening the shop's door. Persumably the mother took off with her daughter right after she saw naked Sandra.

Somebody pointed out that Pierre's croissants alone cost two euros each...

Okay, enough with the pedantry.
