What? But it has to mean something doesn't it?
What? Did some guy just put the words MAD on his music video one day?
One Strip! One Strip!I think it stands for Manga-Anime-Doujin, but I don't know. All I know is that MADs are the OVAs of AMVs, in which they are higher quality than a normal AMV.

What? No. A MAD is just the Japanese equivalent of an AMV
There used to be a wikipedia article explaining where the term came from, but all I remember is that it doesn't really have any meaning beyond looking cool
Oh, and being in ALLCAPS doesn't mean that much if it's the Japanese writing it that way; that's how they treat most words in the Latin alphabet
Well, I like to think of it as an improved version of an AMV because most of the MADs beat out all those AMVs that are mostly set to Linkin Park.

You seem to be missing the concept here.
And that concept would be...?
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterI know that MADs and AMVs are the same, but my different tastes for the two made me a little split on it, and thus I like to think of them as different medias.

post title: Madoka: revisited of a timeout
Can you really believe it?
Looking at the very first post of this thread. Everyone thought this show is gonna be like Nanoha. So much so that everyone expected a good ending despite it's dark Faustinian hints. Then came episode 3 and someone went gibberish. Everyone when white and cold as Mami's mutilated corpse burned it's image into our brains. From there: it's downhill.
The point of this post is to ask the question after one season: Where's all the hype from before?
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuThe very first post of this thread is me saying that the first episode was very SHAFT
Looking at the rest of the first page, most people are arguing that the show is going to turn out depressing
But meh, I bet you Didn't See That Coming...

...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuThe events of episode three? Yes. Most speculation was that Mami was a villain. That it was going to be dark and depressing? Really fairly obvious
Anyway, there was some neat art today: Gertrud, Charlotte, Pink x Purple

Man, even the website isn't immune to Shaft-style QUALITY. Just look at poor Sayaka.
I am really getting some Persona vibes from those screenshots...
