I like how Chuck on S Fdebris puts it. Each 3 episodes is an arc centered on one character for the most part. 1-3 is Mami, 4-6 is Sayaka, 7-9 is Kyouko, and 10-12 is Homura with Madoka being the main character overall.

Someone just HAD to use the most depressing song of all time for a Rebellion AMV.
Seriously, that song is so fricken tragic it's almost funny.
I bought a Madoka manga just today. It's a parody of the series called "Puella Magi Homura Tamura", and it's freaking hilarious. If you want to see a funny parody of this show, I highly reccomend you check it out.
Is that the one where Homura goes to some ... interesting timelines?

Well it literally is about suicidal depression, which is very present in Homura's arc in Rebellion.

Never mind I just realized that was the magazine, not the volume number. But still 23 chapters isn't too bad.

^^^Pretty much, amoung other odd things that happen in that manga, like everyone except Homura and Kyueby becoming really stupid, even up to lethal levels of stupidity, as a result of Homura messing with time travel.

Yes. Basically whenever Homura travels back in time, the world changes in some bizzare way, with Dictator Mami being one out of several really odd alternate timelines/universes she comes across. There's also another one where she ends up in a in-universe TV show/movie of Madoka where all the other characters except her are just actors, and they use a real cat dubbed over with a voice to play Kyueby.
Also, the first few pages of that manga are basically little 4-panel comics that parody various scenes from the show, and unlike the rest of the book they're actually in color and not just black and white. I have to say though, if Homura really did end up going through the weird shit she did in this manga, no wonder the poor girl went crazy later on.

Also, I must confess: I am a Homura/Kyoko shipper. I know it's kind of odd, but I think it's cute and the interactions could be interesting. Of course, I also ship Homura/Madoka as well as Madoka/Kyoko, so I guess the solution here is to make it an OT3. Or maybe I should just ship all 5 of the main girls together.

Other than that, I think 2nd season Madoka would have a similar premise to Psycho Pass. A setting where everyone is happy, but as we all know, that happiness hides a very dark secret. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if the next Puella Magi protagonist turns out to be somebody like Akane Tsunemori, with Sayaka being the Shinya Kogami.
