Alright, so I just won the third fight with Clyde, and he's just as much of a tough nut to crack as always. So many healing spells. So much Dispel Magic.

Oh, yeah. One more piece of advice. Make sure you get the second-level Darkness spell Dispel Magic. It does just what it suggests, making it a godsend for fights where the boss loves to stack buffing spells on himself.

OK, I've made it to the final boss. Two things:

1. I need to level up before I go into this.

2. I'm a bit confused by the final boss's motives. Why is this fight even happening? Eesa says that L'Arc's proposed law to neutralize the Hozone's toxic nature would mean sacrificing the Hozone itself. But is that really true? Imaginal's law sacrifices the Hozone, and the Common Race who have evolved to be dependent on an environment with a certain amount of the stuff. Meanwhile, Real's law would sacrifice the Divine Race's chance of returning, as well as sacrifice all the planet's current life, in order to bring about new life. By comparison, L'Arc's law doesn't sacrifice much of anything. Even the Hozone wouldn't be eliminated, or even converted into Ray, as in Imaginal's law. Merely transmuted into a different form of Hozone that is no longer toxic to the Divine Race. What, is it only Real and Imaginal that are allowed to "seek better laws"?

It's been ages since I played this game. I'll finish it eventually, I swear! I just have a bunch of other games I want to finish first.

Just a question, though. Is it worth it to win the fight against Alf, Adele, and Leslie? That's where I got stuck. I'm seriously considering saving in a different file and then losing the fight for the sake of progression.

If you beat them you get The Rogress Rufunga, which is quite worth it. By having her in your list of three Rogress to summon, you gain resistance to all Elements, and a boost to your Magical stats. And her summoning fully heals everyone.

Alright then, guess I'll keep trying.

Still, I have a bunch of other games I want to finish first, so it'll be a while before I try again.

Try to take out Alf, whose name is too short for spoilers first, he's the most dangerous of the three. Followed by Adelle.

I’ve been wanting to pick this up again lately. I got pretty close to finishing it several years ago, but never did.
