Naruto: Ninja Storm

Assists generally work for countering long range spam - another reason why I like Shino's.

There's always Team Sharinspam, with the sauce with Kirin on point.

Awakening is still pretty powerful even with characters like Neji or Asuma. Unless you have ultimate faith in your Substitution, a good player will break your guard pretty easily.

I often use Neji with only Hinata as an assist or vice versa. Teleporting characters end up getting hit by Hekkshou: Kaiten or Shugo Hakke: Rokujuuyon Shou.

Neji has one of the best non super over powered awakenings. I can't wait to see the awakenings of the new characters in generations.

Man I thought Ougi was a character and was really confused for a minute.

It's japanese for Secret Technique.

Don't know why you wouldn't just say that but okay.

Naruto Generations?

It's a common term Ou and you hear it a lot especially in Naruto games.

It's a shame but expected that little movesets from original characters has changed.

Still going to get it though.

Kinda disappointed with Chakra mode being an awakening.

I'm not, it would be very easy for the developers to make the newest, most powerful form of Naruto be game breaking.

He will most likely be the best awakening in the game so I'm glad it's not its own character.

Having all these variants of Naruto and Sasuke ("Akatsuki Sasuke" and "chidori spear Sasuke", wth?!) seems a bit cheap. Then again, Kishi is partially to blame here. And now there is the complete Kyubi mode to add... well, it can just replace the first one.

I don't know what Fuu and Torune will have, we don't see them do a whole lot in the manga.

Other than that, well, everyone's here, so nice cast. Too bad they didn't include the real Madara or a "unified" Nagato, but maybe that's because it's not in the anime yet... hell, considering the shitton of One-Man Army characters in the 4th war arc, they can extend the cast by a good 20% in the next game.

But that would start to slip into the syndrome of Dragon Ball games...

I could see them utilizing the New Wii U hardware for the next, or other Next Gen consoles.

With the manga series slowly starting to come to an end, the anime will be sure to follow, so I' sure Cyber Connect 2 Will take their time with the next game.

It's not really "New powers as the plot demands" as much as "Characters getting stronger over the course of a series because that's how getting stronger works."

I'm waiting to see what moves Kankuro will get now that he can use Sasori.

Has that been shown? Update: Kankuro uses Sasori as his ultimate.

Well, by NPATPD, I mean Naruto gets a crapload of "forms" throughout the series. There was Kyūbi with split pupils, then Kyūbi with bubble Chakra, then Kyūbi as a red and black pupilless thingy, then Kyūbi as a red and black thingy with a skeleton, then "super Kyūbi mode", then complete super Kyūbi mode… to which you must add the Sennin mode, which has its own usefulness. And god only knows if he won't have a few extra ones until the end.

Now it's true Sasuke just acquires new techniques, apart from his MS, so the 5 versions are less justified.

You know, to be honest I liked the PS 2 titles better, being 2D and such. Sucks to be me, since most disagree and I don't think CC 2 will stray from their current direction so soon...

I hope that the new title has actually improved enough upon the previous titles for me to change my mind.

I liked the ps2 titles because you could customize your ninja. I loved my Neji having chidori and water typhoon.

The ps3 titles are gorgeous but there's a lack of variability that I really do miss. Also, I miss having multiple specials.

Another thing I missed about the PS 2 titles is that the ougis looked much cooler. Although they still look cool (and are backed by much better hardware), the previous ones were much more awesome. I guess they toned it down because it didn't look like Naruto anymore, but whatever...

I could list dozens of reasons why I liked the PS 2 titles better, but I guess that's not the point of the thread, so I'll only add that I'm still pretty interested in this game.. the character selection is pure fanservice, gotta love it.
