Do The Prodigy and Daft Punk count here? Are there any other groups similar to them?
Did you just lump Daft Punk and Prodigy together? :/
Can someone please explain to me what "big beat" is supposed to mean?
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!Sample-heavy, breakbeat-based dance music?

That depends, are they not electronic?
Daft Punk = House/disco-funk-electro hybrid, The Prodigy = big beat techno. Why they wouldn't belong together, I dunno. :/
Someone recommend me some electronic plz.
http://www.last.fm/user/BlueGhost60Wicked: It's a Billy Squire song Jay-Z sampled for "99 Problems"
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....I like Balligomingo (don't worry, I plan to make a page for them), Portishead, Lady Gaga (yes, she is listed on one of our very own electronic music pages), Depeche Mode, and if they can be counted (not sure whether they're Industrial enough), Filter and Garbage.
I'm getting into Daft Punk after seeing Tron Legacy and liking their music from the film, but haven't really been exposed to them very much. Other artists are too hit or miss, mainly due to being too Hip-Hop-influenced for my tastes (I can't stand any form of rap, with the exception of Eminem), but I have liked individual songs by Moby ("Porcelain", "South Side", "Machete", "Guitar, Flute & String"), Cirrus ("Boomerang", "You Are (Panacea)", "Intermission", "Half A Cell") and The Prodigy ("Firestarter", "Breathe", "Fuel My Fire", "Naryan") even if I don't like their whole albums.
No breasts/scrotum on that last post. Shit just got real. -Bobby G@Neccy: Have you listened to Xera yet?
Okay, got the page up for Balligomingo. I have no idea what indexes to put it on, and there are probably tropes I missed (or ones I really fucked up) too, so knock yourselves out editing.
No breasts/scrotum on that last post. Shit just got real. -Bobby GWould this duo count as Electronic?
Would the Gorillaz be acceptable here? They've goy another album out out of the blue
Gorillaz aren't really Electronic, I don't think.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....So I've finally finished listening to Dubnobasswithmyheadman, and surprisingly I've got convinced that it deserves the hype behind it. It's got this... huge sound. Hard to even describe.
that there is an album title is what that is
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!^ It's a Underworld album. Such an awesome name.
^^ I haven't heard it in a while. But I remember being at least decent.

http://www.last.fm/user/BlueGhost60I've been really getting into Ayria as of late. Hell I've been on an Ayria kick the last couple of weeks.
Normally I'm not really an electronic music type of guy. It's not that I don't enjoy it, more like I don't really look for electronic music. But damn, Ayria is awesome.
You guys, Clark made a bouncily awesome mix. Now I'm interested in his music.
Then again, I should have gotten all of Warp's catalogue by now, seeing as I fall in love with anything they have/had signed the moment I hear it. Except Battles (I kinda liked them, but I only really dig "Tonto"), but this is not the place to discuss them. I think.

It's funky as fuck, but did he really have to go for the four-to-the-floor thing? -_-
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat! You have my attention. I am a pretty big Clark fan.
^^ Not all of it is four-to-the-floor... But yeah, most of it is. I don't mind 42tf if it's not way in the front (the main reason for my hate of clubs, along with the shitty, utterly undanceable music the mainstream clubs in Israel play and the shady culture involved; my lack of knowledge of dancing in clubs is unrelated). So overall I like this mix very much.
Speaking of four-to-the-floor, Autechre have used it twice on their most recent release Move of Ten in what is perhaps their first time doing so in many years. It sounds glorious:
^ You wouldn't happen to have a recommendation for where to begin with his music, would you? My bets are on Totems Flare.

Totems Flare and Turning Dragon are both great. The Growls Garden ep is as well. (guh, dat closing track)

Don't you guys like anything of Drum&Bass? Because LTJ Bukem and Goldie should have been mentioned a long time ago.
Other bands that were not mentioned:
- 808 State
- The Shamen
- The KLF
- The Orb
- LCD Soundsystem
- Leftfield
Also, Orbital's Brown Album and Underworld's Second Toughest in the Infants are albums you MUST listen.
And... if you want to listen a very beautiful album so I recommend Suba's Sao Paulo Confessions. He was a serbian who gained a scholarship to study Indian and African music in Brazil, but instead of three months he stayed for three years. He became one of the best producers of the new Brazilian music and in this album he fuses electronic music with Brazilian rhythms, like samba and bossa nova.
