Wait, reading that press release thing, they said "it might not even be a game?"
Hmmm...
Sonic hates SOPACan't confirm from the source since I don't know Japanese, but it should be a game. They're good at cross media affairs though, as they've shown with Dot Hack.
I also hope they crank up the music for this one. The Dot Hack soundtrack was legendary, filled with leitmotifs, foreshadowing and thematics. Solatorobo just had nice music.
Also note that this will probably be the second next title they release. Right now, they're currently focusing on Asuras Wrath. Still astounds me that they're made by the same company.

...Let us in...Can't recall the link, but what I remember hearing was that Strelka Stories was supposed to be a movie.
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"Okay, my copy finally came in the mail yesterday. Got done with the prologue and it's pretty good so far. I'm sure that I'll enjoy the plot, despite the game's apparent shortcomings.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Found my copy in an Ebgames today, even though everyone in Canada has the release date listed as next tuesday.
Not Three Laws compliant.Awesome.
First impressions?
I swear, every time I think the standards of trolling have hit rock bottom...
And by standards I mean effort and thought put in.

...Let us in...Indeed.
Anyways, at Basset now. Friend of mine's beaten the game but then again I've got school and stuff and normally only reserve the DS for car trips.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Necro:
Gamasutra posted a nice postmortem of the game recently. Link.
This confirms my suspicion that Cyber Connect 2 has a setting to story to gameplay development process, as well as the game being easy due to children (not a big surprise given the platform and...well...fuzziness). Hope they do a better focus on gameplay in their future works. That's my only real gripe about their games: the game part.
...Let us in...Do want! Though hoping that if the sequel is really a thing, that it works a bit more with that world it's got to stomp around in. Those 17 hours in Solatorobo went by way too quickly...
Hard Boiled Detective Since 1985Cool. Looking forward to it.
@Nifty: With extremely late regards to your post about Solatorobo being easy, rest assured that CC 2 knows how to make hard games. Tail Concerto wasn't exactly a cakewalk despite also being fuzzy.
Yay! Can't wait.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.That post was yonks ago so I have had time to rethink and revise my stance on the matter.
I've come to realize that the games produced by CC2 are actually reasonably difficult. I think I wrote that post during the upcoming release of Asuras Wrath when I worried that the anime elements of the game would have undermined the difficulty of the game. Having played Asuras Wrath, I think the gameplay element from CC2 games won't be too much of a problem. I still maintain that it's a means to convey an engaging story and world first and foremost, but they put in the effort necessary for a good game behind the world.
I eagerly anticipate this game, hoping that it will delivers on both story and game assets.
Off-topic but for the record, the QTE elements of Asuras Wrath were nowhere near as bad as I dreaded they'd be. It was quite enjoyable.
...Let us in...Indeed. In fact, if you play the DLC for that game, the final battle probably has the most unique QTE's I've ever seen.

Watch SymphogearSome good news and bad news.
The good news: There's a new game announced in the Little Tail Bronx series called Little Tail Story!
The bad news: It's a free to play smartphone game.
Personally, I like the look of the game, especially visually. Everything is really cute. The gameplay looks pretty nice. Personally, I don't have much experience in smartphone gaming (except for the insulting My Monster Rancher game and the occasional game of Angry Birds) so I really don't know what to say about that.

...Let us in...Watch it not be localized at all.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987It looks like it's a sort of Final Fantasy-esque tactics game...
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Oh, Bandai.
At least it looks decent.
Concerning Strelka Stories' platform, I seriously hope that it won't come out for PS Vita. I'm not planning to buy that. I've made that error with the PSP, I've only played some remakes on it (Mega Man and Castlevania), and then only for so much time. I hope that, as Strelka Stories will belong into some sort of connected story with Red Data Children and Solatorobo (at least I think heard that), it will stay Nintendo-exclusive. Hopefully only for handhelds, because I'm not too keen on consoles.
