Best anime of the last decade 2000-2010

What do you think the best anime of the last ten years was?

for me it was Code Geass.

You do know you're going to see pretty much every single anime made from 2000 to 2010 listed right?

Anyways.............it's a tie between To Aru Majutsu No Index and Hayate No Gotoku.

I judge a series by how long it keeps me entertained.

Yeah, I'm aware of this but I figure we all could get it out of our systems and fan girl/ fan boy over our favorites of the last 10 years.

Also if I was going by your standard it be a toss up between Full Metal Alchemist (Original and brotherhood) and Naruto.

edit:on further reflection, maybe not Eflen Lied anyways...as good as it was, it was just waaay too depressing (dog owner here!) to fully enjoy...

Still, how often do we get a series that have us cheering for the monster?...of course if you look at it another way, the kids in that series are the REAL monsters...

Too broad of a question to answer. You'd have to divide into genres for me to be able to really give you an answer.

As for manga I'd say, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, 666Satan, Lucifer And Biscuit Hammer, Beelzebub, Fairy Tail, Soul Eater, One Piece, Hyde And Closer, and Gintama.

Oh, and Letter Bee and Cage Of Eden too!

If you want it to actually be a decade, then either 2000 or 2010 is out of the picture.

Anyway, movies: Five Centimeters Per Second, Paprika, Spirited Away.

Series: Suzumiya Haruhi, FLCL (if 2000 counts), Gurren Lagann, maybe Bakemonogatari, Durarara(if 2010 counts), Baccano. Also, Princess Tutu just because.

I'm tempted to say Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt, but I think that I shouldn't really judge it compared to everything else since it ended so recently, giving me a kind of biased view.

I was thinking about putting Code Geass in my list, but in the end I don't really like it as much as other series.

Manga...Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei? Ouran for shoujo. There are others, but I'm not sure whether they started in this past decade or not.

A decade is 10 years, not Eleven! 2000-2009 that's the correct way to do this.

Because this is just a fan[boy/girl] gushing thread, K-ON! was the best anime made in 2000-2009. If you mean 2001-2010, which makes more sense, then it would be the second season, K-ON!!

Also note that my anime experience is fairly limited...

Oh, and if we're including manga, then Kodomo No Jikan.

1. Clannad + Afterstory 2. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 3. Hayate The Combat Butler. It would be better if the series would hook up Hayate and Hinagiku.

If we're including manga then Eyeshield 21 is the best manga of the decade. Period. Actually, best ever.

Mine are: Baccano, Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, Ouran and Azumanga Daioh (the anime came out after 2000, didn't it?).
