Huh, there's a thread for this too, huh? I read up to volume 18, but I just couldn't stand the art style. Whenever there is a lot of action, the art can be really imcomprehensible and I had a hard time figuring out what exactly was happening.

Kanda is alive? In some ways I'm hoping it's an Akuma.

A-and Link is dead? TAT

I thought it was fairly clear that Apochryphos killed him. Didn't think it was ambiguous... at all. Oh well. He's dead. Kanda isn't. Lavi and Bookman are being held captive and pressured for information about the fourteenth. Life goes on.

I wonder if Chaozii is going to explode when he sees Allen next time because the Noah wanna drive Allen and the Order further apart. He does have those things in him

So Johnny is going after Allen huh. If he finds him and isn't killed soon after Allen will at least have one companion.

It was nice to see all of those Exorcists this chapter that we haven't seen in a while.

Somehow, I doubt that Link is truly dead. I think the Aprocryphos healed him in a way that turned him into a monster but with his mind intact. Either way, I don't think we've seen the last of him.

It could have healed him by absorbing his knowledge into it's own being. So he's dead, but the information he had lived on, and it thought that was enough. I can't remember why Hitler wanted Link healed.

Well, I was hoping the obviousness would lead to subversion or something. Damn.

And no, I am not irked by them not translating nakama. Sure, it is unusual, but if you think about it, NAKAMA is a very strong word on its own (if you know its meaning and its STRONG meaning, I mean). Oh well.

So. My character bias is showing. I want more Miranda. *is shot*

Hm, with all what's going on and with the Hitler-dude's and Link's relationship, one really starts to sympathize with Hitler-dude, right? Hmmm...realyl wodner where this is heading. A war against the order with the Noah as partners and later a fight between Allen/Nea and the Earl? ...but that's kinda too linear and easy...hm.

Miranda is pretty nice. I wish we got more vampire time too.

Yeah Hitler has seemed more sympathetic as of late. He even ineffectually begged for Link's life.

...chapter totally had Kanda-Lenalee Ship Tease. Though I like how Lenalee totally snaps in a comical way, I rather see her like than than whining and crying 8D

It'd been awhile since I marathon'd this series, but did Lenalee having to be held back after Kanda's insult seem out of character for anybody else? I can't remember her doing anything like that. Also, Koumi's reaction to Kanda drinking the innocence out of Lenalee's hand was amusing.

Actually, it has been established since the beginning that Kanda can piss of Lenalee to the point of her getting violent with him. When Kanda first attacks Allen at the beginning of the series, she smacks him on the head, and in some of the volume omakes there's similar stuff.

I was fine with her being angry.

I hope Hitler and the Black Order in general doesn't press Kanda about where the remains of Alma are.

All things considered, I don't think they're stupid enough to try it.

I don't know it's the Black Order they take Well-Intentioned Extremist a little to far. Although with Kanda it worked. So I can see them being huge dicks about it. It would be a good Pet the Dog scene to have Hitler pleading Kanda's side against the higher ups in the Order.

At this point it's not a matter of good or bad, it's simple pragmatism. They lack the resources to keep Kanda there against his will, and need all the exorcists they can get, so it's counter-productive to push him too hard.

Well they killed Cross who was quite possibly the most powerful Exorcist living because he might have been on the 14th's side I guess.

They had a huge to do about Allen and ended driving him away.

Sometimes I don't think they are entirely pragmatic.
