Anyway, I actually don't really like overly ecchi stuff, usually, unless there's more to it than that, so if that's all it is (and with a premise like that, I'm thinking that's pretty likely...) then I probably won't be watching it. I'll watch the first few episodes though, and see how it is.

As for Lotte, I'm still standing by that the actual series will not be like it's description. Look at B Gata H Kei for example. The decription for the series is something along the lines of "slutty schoolgirl aiming to have sex with 100 guys". By the end of the show, she's still a virgin...and not even close to having her first time.

Everyone does realize that, by that logic, playing Doom does mean you're a mass murderer and listening to metal makes you a devil worshiper. Attitudes like that are why things like the Nonexistent youth bill happen "Oh my god that's disgusting and you're disgusting for liking it", I'm pretty sure someone out there finds the concept of Call Of Duty disgusting too but it doesn't give them the right to call everyone who plays it a serial killer waiting to happen.

Plus I don't see the big deal about the negativity, only about 4 shows on that list seem bad to me, everything else seems decent or worth picking up.

Yeah, that's why I'm going to be checking out the series.

I figure it's somewhat unlikely it'll end up being exactly like the description indicates. And if it is... well it might still be worth watching. Who knows? I guess I could try reading the manga...

B Gata H Kei is an exceptional example of Better Than It Sounds. Don't get your hopes up for another show like it.

^^ Well, to be fair, my idea of Better Than It Sounds for this show is basically it also being funny or having decent characters or whatever. I really don't care if it sticks to its stated premise or not...

I also find it unlikely that Lotte, assuming that's the main character's name, will ever succeed in her goal. I still find it about a thousand times creepier of a premise than B Gata H Kei. But I don't really want to talk to Signed any more so I'm going to leave this thread now.

You're still making an assumption of his character based off of something as silly as the type of media he reads, I really enjoyed Letters To Iwo Jima, does that make me Anti-American? I play Black Ops, does that mean I want to join the military?

Letters from Iwo Jima doesn't count as anti-American. That movie was screaming "The Japanese were misguided during World War II!" as loud as it possibly could.
