First chart is out ! (Yeah, I know Winter hasn't really started yet...)

And wow, this season is busy. 29 shows ?

  • Steins;Gate is the only show whose premise absolutely demands my watching. People making a microwave send text-messages into the past ? With a mysterious MIB agency being pissed by it ? This sounds awesome.
  • Kyo Ani is back ! For a weird Slice of Life thing called Daily, though.
  • I have no clue what C is about or even heard of studio Tatsunoko before. Humm...
  • Denpa Onna To Seishun Otoko is Studio SHAFT doing their usual formula, from the look of it.
  • I must be one of the few people really looking forward to X-Men, the third Madhouse/Marvel collaboration.
  • Health And Physical Education For 30 Year Olds ? Really ?  *
  • For some reason, I'm quite looking forward to Moshidora... except for the whole baseball thing (Must. Not. Fall. Asleep.)
  • I'm intrigued by Showa Monogatari. I've got no idea what to expect from this "anime aimed at seniors".
  • Normally I'd be first in line for an original Sunrise superhero anime, but what this promo picture for Tiger And Bunny looks terrible.
  • There was a time recently where I'd have a look at everything A-1 Pictures produced, but that time is now gone. Ao No Exorcist looks quite generic and unpromising indeed.
  • Sequels ! New Gintama, already some more The World God Only Knows, a new Yu Gi Oh series, another iteration of Appleseed, Maria Holic S2... and wait, who greenlighted a second season of goddarn Kampfer ?
  • Besides Kampfer, this season seems mercifully free of really skeevy stuff... Oh, wait :
    • Lotte's Toy : Succubus princess Astarotte Igvar has just turned 10. In order to maintain their body and preserve their youthful appearance, they must consume a substance only found on males. This substance is a liquid called "Sauzfryma", better known as semen.

Let's see...Aria The Scarlet ammo looks good since it's from JC Staff. Maria Holic 2 must be good...Kampfer...and Lotte's Toy.

Hmmm...the list is quite small.

So wait, there's an X Men anime on the way now too?

^ Yeah, that was announced quite a while ago : the Madhouse/Marvel collaboration is to produce 4 series (Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men and Blade).

I have to say X-Men is the one I'm most curious about. What could they do with it for 12 episodes ?

even heard of studio Tatsunoko before.
Really? Never heard of Gatchaman? or Casshern?

So, anyway, X-Men is the only thing I find interesting now (C is too vague a name, and since it has no description...), though I am amused by Toriko getting an animated adaptation.

Is Daily based on something? It's an incredibly search-unfriendly title.

Electromagnetic woman: "... Wears a futon around her head and is a self proclaimed alien!" definitely checking it out.

And... am i bonkers or are they animating Lotte No Omocha? That Lotte No Omocha. You know, the one where the main character had a daughter when he was 12 and is employed in the harem of a 10 year old succubus girl with an entire loli-harem after his Cute Shotaro Boy self?

Other than that though, i see a bunch of slice of life comedies, typical shonen fare, Deadman which i'll skip, never got into it, and a few quirky outside-of-my-interest shows. And genderbent Hajime No Ippo.

Not all that promising at this early stage at least...

Hmm, for spring, The X-men anime, Production IG's Stuff, and that Lotte No Omocha sounds hilarious as hell, and several others on here seem good too me. I have varyng tastes, after all.

Maria Holic II, probably Daily, Kami Nomi Zo Shiru Sekai II, Kampfer II for seiyuu, Moshidora for multiple reasons, and the four extra OreImo episodes.

The premise sounds like a rehash of Arakawa Under The Bridge to me. Same studio too.

Sign me up for Stein's Gate and Deadman Wonderland.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial

Moshidora: Baseball meets management guru Peter Drucker?

What???.... I think I might have to check this one out.

Showa Era Story might be interesting, see what Tokyo was like in the 60s.

The World God Only Knows was a good adaption for the first season, and this 2nd season should get to the bigger plot instead of just "girl of the week" stories. Hopefully.

....

....

....

Lotte...

Well now I understand the reason for the Nonexistent Youth Bill.

That kind of premise is just Sick and Wrong

Moshidora was also a bestselling novel (or was it light novel) in Japan, might I add. The animation is being done by Production IG as well.

TWGOK, Steins Gate because Ponicalica says it should be good and Maria Holic. Might end up watching more.

And the Ore Imo stuff I suppose but that's not a full season.

This is going to change later on, but maybe Appleseed, Sket Dance if it's funny, C, Deadman Wonderland, Electro etc. Woman, Daily/Nichijou if it's cute, Tiger and Bunny because the title is so ridiculous, maybe Hanasaku Iroha?

None of them really appeal to me, but there's not a lot of information out yet. :|

I might give X-Men, Stein's Gate, and C a try. Everything else is either horribly generic or just not my kind of thing. Just reading about Lotte's Toy made me nauseous.

So that thing about Angel Beats getting a sequel in spring 2011 was probably a rumour, then. Oh well, more Maria Holic more than makes up for it. Much more.

Wait, Dead Man Wonder Land is on that list? Can't find it anywhere...

okay, I look forward to that series as well...

This season needs more stuff like Lotte's Toy and Deadman Wonderland, and less crap like Appleseed.

I was fairly certain that Baka To Test To Shoukanjuu was supposed to be getting another season...

I'll be honest, I'll probably end up seeing slightly more shows than the ones I listed here...but in all the previous seasons, I managed to come up with a much bigger list of "to-watches" than this season.

Hmmm....A Channel's picture looks like that girl from Lucky Star, and I might watch the first episode of Tiger And Bunny, but mostly because of the name.

The only things that look interesting here are Daily (wacky high-school slice-of-life has never let me down before, and hey, you can't go wrong with Kyo Ani) and, weirdly enough, Showa Monogatari. I guess that makes me a senior citizen. -shrug-
