Xillia basically has Jude's story telling the basic outline and Milla's story adding little details and conversations that make you appreciate things more. Unfortunately, they aren't quite different enough to be worth playing the entire game twice, so mostly it's about choosing what to miss out on. Jude misses out on interesting characterization details and Milla misses like a 5th of the entire plot.

And that Jude's very first boss is one of those dumb ones where even if you win it acts like you lost. That pissed me off, it gave me Symphonia 2 flashbacks.

Yeah, I don't like fights like that either. If you manage to be good enough to win, why does the game have to pretend you lost? Either make the fight completely impossible or make an alternate scenario.

That really did give me a shittier first impressionf or the game than Milla's which did show her as very strong.
Couple Jude's crap first boss battle with Sam Riegel's less than stellar acting in that bit with Agria ("But...I don't wanna die. :l") and Jude's side seems a lot weaker.
Also I kinda wish Jude would flip at Milla's almost self-destructive devotion to her mission the same way Asbel did to Sophie in Graces.

I'm back. Since last time, I did the GE and Swimsuit gacha to take advantage of the "1st roll gives 4* or higher" boost. From them I got a wind thrust Lllia and a light spell Raine. I also completed some story and event quest to get (4*) earth bash Sophie, earth spell Milla, water thrust Cress, (3*) Fire shot chelsea, wind slash Luke, wind bash Jude, fire spell Estelle, and water slash Milla. I now have 18 3*, so I'm probably going to sell some of them off. I ask advice on which ones to sell later.
I also got another 50 stones, so let's see if I have better luck with the GE gacha this time. Rolling it now... (3*) spell Genis, bash Kohaku, another Presea, bash Lilith, spell Norma (4*) bash Mao, shot Garr, slash Philia, another Raine, and OHMYGOD, got GE Reid. Yes, this wasn't a waste of stones. Actually remember using Philia on a slash/spell team as a healer, so that's good too. But once again I only got 1 ticket. Please tell me I can farm these somehow, because I doubt I'm getting 50 more stones without shelling out some cash.

So, it's 250 stones for a 5*? Oh god, it's Brave Frontier all over again. I have 2 tickets right, so that's another 150 stones. That's more than $70! Man, good thing I did get a 5*.

So I did the God Eater 10x Roll... And got complete garbage. It made me wish this game had a simple character shop. Now, I understand that would damage the chances of making money off Gatcha Rolls. So my idea is that not only would the single characters be much more expensive than the Gatcha Rolls (Like, 60 Stones for a single 5 Star), but they would be on daily rotation. So it would tempt people to rapid grind, or just bite the bullet and buy Stones to get that character before it goes away.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...
So I'm approaching the limit of how many heroes I can hold, many of them 3*, so I was wondering which to keep and get rid of. I'll start with the spell heroes first, and deal with the other types in later posts. I have Keele, Norma, who is the only shot/spell leader I've seen, Estelle, Genis, who has a skill that hits all enemies with a water attack, and Zaveid from the clash event.

So along with the Heldalf being implied to be Soreys father in the Zestiria manga there's also apparently a bit where Maotelus and Sorey converse. Phi mentions the truth about Seraph-Human coexistence in Artorius time being a lie. Sorey says that even though that's true he feels Seraphs and Humans should try to live together and not give up like Arty did. Maotelus tells him that he is a true Shepherd.
Also Meebo writes a book about his life with Sorey.

So I got another 50 stones thanks to grinding for mana in the soul areana, but I'm not sure whether to do the GE gacha or the Mystic Arte gacha. The former seems to have better units from what I heard from you guys, but I feel it's going to end up giving me crap. It does give those tickets but, I got 1 ticket twice in a row so I'm a bit wary. The later gives me an extra unit but I'm not sure if my luck will be any better with it.

Most of these were limits breaks for 3*, while I got new 4* and some limit breaks for them. Way better than my first 2 pulls. I also get 4 tickets this time, so I basically got another 5*. And I got.... another Reid. Eh, a Limit Break is better than nothing.

Yeah, that helps. Reid is one of the better ones.
Though if you get 2 4* Kratoses or GE Edna's, DON'T limit break them. You actually benefit more from having.more arte healers even if they're the same character

Yeah. All I can think of with Milla is abusing her triple jump and air casting abilities so that you're above the range of where the AI can target you.
