Should I Start Over My Fan Fic

So, my long-term writing project is Kira Is Justice. It has over 36000 words and had been running since July. However, because I didn't really revise any of the chapters throughly, and I don't plan deeply enough (although I already have the basic shape of the story down) it's Old Shame, except it isn't old.

My Fan Fic is a Swiss Cheese (should that be a trope?). It has plot holes and errors, with threads dangling. Also, I'm not happy at how my protagonist developed. However, I had written the whole arc, but hadn't typed it up (Writer's block).

So, should I throw away six months of story and start over with a clean slate? What should I do with the old story, rename it as an archeived version? How about the works page for it?

Input?

Starting over clean might seem like you're throwing away those months of writing — but remember that you've learned quite a lot during these months. You know where your plot could had possibly lead to, and you got a feel for your characters. When you look over your fic now, you can see all the myriad ways you can improve, that you didn't realise before.

It is up to you, meng.
