And this is after Phil said that P Cs are for spreadsheets.

So, pretentious asshat, confirmed?

Judging by his earlier comments about the PC, he will most likely eat his words and announce a 3DS version of Fez.

"It's never coming to other platforms" -> *Fez announced for other platforms*
"It's never coming to PC because they're shit" -> *Fez announced for PC*
"It's never coming to 3DS (because) they're shit" -> ?

I think, at least.

edit: I'm guessing the Fez YMMV page is locked because of something Fish-related?

Add "It's not coming to Wii U because they treated indies like shit" to the list.

Somebody should probably let him know that the "must have an office address", the "title must be within 50MB" and "must sell 6000 copies to get payment" restrictions are all gone on both 3DS and Wii U. Aside from that, not sure how Nintendo are still treating indies like dirt. I'm well aware Nintendo has a tendency to be a bit tonedeaf when it comes to listening to developers, but aside from the various issues with the OG Wii's online setup and indie developers, I'm not aware of Nintendo still doing anything "insulting" toward them.

... Somehow I get the feeling that all he did was google "Nintendo indie" or some shit and got those articles, and is basing his opinions solely on those.

Actually, Nintendo treats indies like shit. In fact, historically, they've shat on third party altogether.

And now third party is shitting on them. Karma is a bitch.

[up] Except, well, a lot of indies have noted that Nintendo have massively cleaned up their act when it comes to supporting indies and are a lot better about it, practically on Sony's level. Hell, they're at least trying to support third parties this time around. It's Microsoft now who are the worst when it comes to indies with their ass-backwards policies. Nintendo made some stupid decisions back then, sure, but at least they didn't have Microsoft's utterly bullshit policies.

Indies have been flat out coming out and saying Wii U is one of THE most indie friendly platforms.

I wouldn't say "now third-party is shitting on them"; third-parties haven't been supporting them since the N64 days, so that's not really new. I was thinking more specifically of indies, though.

[up][up]He was abrasive enough to have a bad breakup with his former development partner (source: Indie Game: The Movie).

In any case, I agree the guy's a jerk but I may still buy the game at some point, because he hasn't actually pushed any of my moral outrage buttons that I'm aware of (and you pretty much either have to be engaged in fraud, oppression, or just plain bad customer service to get on my personal "won't buy on principle" list.)

He's made one really successful game. Yes, that's great, doesn't mean he's an expert on the state of the industry.

Also, he should play Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Contact or Hotel Dusk. Those are all games that used the dual screen mechanic really well.

So apparently on PC, users on GOG and Steam are still reporting some issues with the game. The brunt of them seem to be related to people on laptops that use Intel integrated graphics cards as opposed to the dedicated ones, but a few of them seem to apply to everyone. Has anyone here had any problem running the game on PC since release? Just wondering.

(side note: Phil did once admit that he only did this PC port for Money, Dear Boy. Take that as you will)

Uh, more like it wasn't selling well on the Xbox, or Microsoft screwed him out of something (I know it wasn't as simple as just wanting to make money), so he had to take back what he said about PCs and sell Fez on there.

Honestly, this is just guaranteeing that I don't play it at all.

Do all game developers have to be nice in order for you to play the game? Not every game developer is a pleasant person you know. Also, grow some thicker skin guys. Also, do you guys really have to make the thread about Fish instead of the game?

Got this game pretty recently, it's pretty neat (though I wish I bought Runner 2 instead.) Game has some neat moments, but it's not exactly my cup of tea.
