I know he's busy but I don't know if I'm down with 1 minute recommendations.
I think you give the time for the game to breathe.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianI didn't like it much either. It didn't seem as if he really explained the game really well.
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogIt doesn't help that with the credits and opening it's more like 30 seconds.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianLike I said in the comments of the video, it pretty much boils down to "try this game, kthxbai".
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...3 minutes would be good.
I like her style.
The first episode of Design Club is out!
I've already seen World 1-1 analyzed so I personally didn't get much out of this personally. But I thought they did a pretty good job. I think this show looks very promising.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianKinda wondering why they didn't point out that without reading manual or having ever played video games, jumping on enemies to defeat them when you die on touching them isn't really that intuitive
I would hazard a guess that since the primary objective is "move to the right until you get to the end", defeating enemies is only an optional objective for the player. You don't have to stomp the goombas if you can get away with jumping over them.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Ah but then there is a score to raise. Though I doubt many people noticed it.
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogTrue, but you don't lose a life for not getting enough points. That said, once you do find out (possibly by accident) that you can stomp them for sweet sweet points, you just have to keep doing it!
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...It should be noted that scoring points was a ridiculously common thing back then. Anybody who'd played video games before would see and understand it immediately.
In Donkey Kong, you got points for jumping over enemies. Then in Mario Bros., you had to defeat enemies with a maneuver that still works in Super Mario Bros., but Super doesn't present the opportunity nearly as often.
They should do a Psychonauts level at some point.

"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."I think Black Velvetopia would be cool, because the way that bull keeps knocking you back and making you do things over and over again until you get the jumping right is a clever metaphor for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder* .

Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianI don't think that he has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, I think he has anger management issues. He's seen throwing stuff around, like in the cinematic where you meet Fred and Crispin. You see, in his rage (or his hate, as "El Odio" is "The Hate"), he only hurts himself when he lashes out. That is why he, himself, is the bull. Every time he makes strides in betterment, it is ruined by his anger.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."The only roguelike I've ever actually played is Nethack, so I felt kind of a little bit lost through most of the video. But I can at least relate to the permadeath bit after playing the Nuzlocke Challenge on Pokemon Fire Red. (Which reminds me, I still haven't finished my Emerald run.) It's not exactly the same, but it still forces you to pay more attention to what you're doing and actually care about the team you've built. At least, that's what my experience has been.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...So if Extra Remix is the jungler, what are the others?
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I think the other two are still going to be regular. Or regular as James Recommends. Other Dan has been doing a lot more streams on various games alongside the actual show, so that'll still be kicking.
