Sounds to me like the gameplay will be different, even if the overall aesthetic is similar.
But I'm fine with that. We need more Gentleman Adventurers. Good show!

One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderIt looks like a complete snowclone. It's not even trying to be different. No thanks.
Requiem ~ September 2010 - October 2011 [Banned 4 Life]The screensnaps at the link show isometric visuals and an obvious automap. Not something I'd instantly associate with a puzzle collection game.
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Looks like it might actually be an RPG of some kind, just with a knicked aesthetic and hat.
It's like what would happen if you took DNA from Professor Layton and Henry Hatsworth and crossed them.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaSeperate battle and exploration modes do argue for RPG. Not sure what to make of the event mode, though.
Eh. I'll wait for this to come out before I make my judgement.
I don't see any puzzles there.
I wonder if this will do well or if it will be a forgotten Flavor of the Month like that Animal Crossing clone they made years ago was.
Said clone actually did well enough for itself to get a sequel (coming soon), and to build up a surprising cult fanbase.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaIt's actually closer to an RPG than it is to Professor Layton, judging by the screenshots and details revealed so far. I might get it if I happen to have the money after buying all the other games I wanna buy.
If it's an RPG with a lot of puzzle-solving, that actually sounds pretty decently awesome.

...God, that would be horrible. Quickpuzzle sequences in cutscenes? Ugh.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderQuick Puzzle Events! Oh no, you're falling into a busy street! Quick, if A B and C are purple, what color is D? OH TOO SLOW YOU GOT HIT BY A CAR.
Soul is ugly.It turns out D is red. Like your blood that has been splattered so messily over the road.
Try again? (Y/N)
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderYou missed out on 250 Picara XP!
Stargate SG-1 Let's Watch. Because my ZHP thing failed.Limit -> Ultimate attack - To use this attack you must move all of the red blocks to the right and all of the blue blocks to the left, in the proper order, within 30 moves.
What about Puzzle Quest? :P
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaNO WAY. Im sorry, but just NO. Im not buying a ripoff of my game
..sorry if I offended anyone
...Have you read the rest of the topic?
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaWell. Thank you. Now I want a smart, pornographic puzzle-solving rpg. It will center about Victorian brothels and someone who's going around killing their patrons.
i. hear. a. sound.: I'm calling it now: The next Hidden Object Game/visual novel on Big Fish Games will be based on Measure For Measure.

His name is Doctor Lautrec.
Looks interesting, to say the least. Hopefully it'll be just as good as the series it's obviously trying way too hard to emulate.
