A very nice solution to the problem.
So, if I want to move my current LB there, I should copy-and-paste each post, right?
Is it possible to embed youtube vids, or should I just link to them?
I'll make it possible to embed them. Just a tick or two.
eta: That's in.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyIs it encouraged to move existing liveblogs over to this system?
Looks pretty nice.
I have one question, though: Are you gonna transfer all the active liveblogs to this new system, or do we have to do it ourselves?
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I can't think of a way to separate the comments from the blog entries, so it will have to be a cut and paste "import."

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyMaybe the first installment should be at the top, rather than at the bottom ? For "pure text" liveblogs, it's a bit counter-intuitive to need to backtrack all the time...
Apart from that, it looks awesome, and I'll try and transfer my old L Bs there as soon as possible.
Look on the left at the top. You can pick whether you want to see oldest first or youngest first.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyNeat stuff. I'll be making some use of this soon.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.I just noticed that spoiler text doesn't work in LB's. Was this intentional?
Yes
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyQuote marks don't work inside potholes for some reason. I wrote:
And this is the text that's displayed for the pothole:
Note those are dumb quotes, not smart quotes, I'm trying to put in there.

Neat-o. A way to eventually hook those to a works page would be nice, as well.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages? Also, a way to link directly to a specific installment would also be nice.
When will the old ones be ported over?
That quotes problem should be cleared up, now. Installment links are also installed.
Association to a work's wiki page is a good idea. We'll get to that after the code to flag new stuff per troper is hooked up. After that, notifications of new stuff to New Edits and a forum display. Then maybe an RSS feed per LB.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyThere is no way to auto-port them at the moment; no way to distinguish content from comments. We can manually port them by copying and pasting individual installments.
I just did that for my LB.

@Fast Eddie: Okay, now every time I try to edit this installment, the preview text shows up fine, but upon submitting for good the displayed text in the actual liveblog entry just ends at the first plaintext quote mark. And when I click the edit button, the source text after that point is missing as well.
It's happened twice.

Edit that one to correct. It may be fixed.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyIt's still happening.
Thanks for doing all this.

Okay. I think it is fixed, now.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyIt works!
You rock.
I think it would be a good idea if a view count was implemented to let people know how many are actually following the liveblog, since in the old system comments were the only way of letting people know, yet a lot of times, people couldn't think of anything to say.
I am sceptical of liveblog scoring, since I doubt they need quality control to the same extent as reviews. From what I've read, the zero-effort liveblogs are really, really obvious (and very uncommon).
Finally, what's going to happen to Liveblog This?

Hmm, seems cool. I guess I'll be migrating, thanks.
One thing, I noticed that editing kicks around the order of the posts; if I edit an earlier post, it becomes the latest post.

The replacement system for liveblogging in a forum is ready. Here it is.
This should give the liveblogs a higher profile on the site and be as durable as the wiki articles.
