Recommend me the most bizarre, weird, and surreal anime/manga you know

Japan's pretty good at its weird stuff, and Eastern Animation has run dry of opportunities for me. What's the weirdest or most bizarre anime/manga you've seen/read? Deranged Animation is always a plus here, as is High Octane Nightmare Fuel. Trippy stuff. Psychological.

I've seen:

• Satoshi Kon's movies (but not Paranoia Agent)
• Radio City Fantasy
• Angel's Egg
• Mind Game
• Most of Studio 4C's shorts
• Eva (didn't enjoy)

Just to give an idea.

Anything artsy and experimental additionally works too.

Potemayo. Mostly a relaxed comedy,but nowhere else will you find a moe-blob with Wave-Motion Gun horns.

Also, FLCL is a much better recommendation than Excel Saga. Baccano is good, too.

It's a different sort of mindfuck, but how about the When They Cry series?

In both, the first part of the mystery is figuring out if they're really mysteries.
