Accurate depiction?

I'm kinda in between too. I dislike playing with items and I like the competitive side of the game, but I'm nowhere near good enough to actually be a competitive player.

For me having items on or off is basically if I feel like it, especially if my opponent is inexperienced enough that items are needed to ensure they're having fun.

I'm fine either with items or without, but if items are on, I prefer to go through and take out all the really overpowered ones.

And there's the difference between you and me.

I usually play with items on. Partly because I just find it more fun that way, and partly because most of the people I play with wouldn't stand a chance against me without items to tip the scales in their favor.

Even without items my friends fight evenly with me.

Though the only items I really turn on are:

• Smash Ball
• Assist Trophy
• Green Shell
• Metal Box
• Smart Bomb
• Honeycomb
• Green Shell

I dislike the Poke Balls because the Legendaries are so overpowered it's not even funny.

Mewtwo, meanwhile...

Man, does Mewtwo have it rough. Being dead last on the tier list for many years, didn't come back in Brawl, then came back in 4 and still is at the low low end of the tier list. It's actually somewhat sad, yet somewhat funny as well.

At least he was always fun in Melee.

It's a matter of relativity- Smash 4 is much better balanced than Melee and especially Brawl. Sheik losing to Mewtwo isn't as unfathomable here as Ganondorf beating Meta Knight in Brawl. It's still in favor of Sheik, but just about everyone seems to have a chance this time.

Play with ALL THE ITEMS

The only item I particularly disliked was the Fan, and that's gone now.

Remember Brawl's version of the Ray Gun? Absolute BS.

Ray gun was Awesome

Paper fan was great. It was so awful and it always appeared in like a huge stack of items so you always grabbed it accidentally.

Paper fan? Awful?

I feel bad for Zelda as she's pretty much been consistently low tier. Same with Samus.

Paper fan could infinite with pretty much no escape, at least as far as Brawl goes.

I think that's why it was taken out for Smash 4.

I like the torpedo gun the most because I love explosive ammo and I can cause all sorts of chaos with it.

The Steel Diver's pretty fun, yeah.

I turn on Smash Balls sometimes because it's so much fun.

Steel Diver's pretty fun though I do miss the Cracker Launcher.
