I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up for a DLC announcement...

I pretty much decided not to get my hopes up for anything anymore. Like, a general baseline hope for the world and my life as a whole has to be kept, but I generally seem to be much better off not expecting anything good to happen.

Like right now, the most hope I have for Wii U is that it will be nicer to play thanks to a bigger screen and nicer control input, and that I can use it as an excuse to spend some time with a new real-life friend. If there's, like, DLC and other stuff I barely dare to bring up even as a hypothetical, it'll be like "holy crap NICE", but until then, I'll just worry about other stuff.

(I have an optimistic nature, but, well, if there's one thing I retained from my ethics course many years ago, it's that an optimist aims to maximize gain while a pessimist aims to minimize damage, and the latter really doesn't seem to be a bad strategy when it's something you can't influence and that really shouldn't matter all that much in the greater scheme anyway.)

Depending on when I get out of class and transit and such, I might make it home in time to catch all of the Direct. We shall see.

Yeah, I'd say it's probably best to go into this assuming that the characters we have constitute the full and final roster, and that this Direct will tell us nothing that the Amazon leak hasn't told us.

I'm curious, does the Koopa Klaw (or whatever it's called now that it purely seems to be a grab) have an invincibility frame anywhere in there? Approaching people from out of the air with Bowser seems to be the trickiest part, although i suppose i could just learn how to cancel the landing lag of his dair.
