Soulbonding

So I've seen this term brought up a a lot recently and I'm still trying to understand the idea behind it. My understanding is it's like imaginary friends but Serious Business. Any insight would be appreciated.

That's pretty much my understanding of it.

You might know this already, but we have a soulbonder that posts here. She's got a few things to say about the topic.

Some very cool people have some very strange beliefs. Souldbonders, Transhumanists, Wiccans, and even Christians. We usually get along okay.

No reason this thread has to go down in a torrent of flames like the other.. how many times has this happened before?

I was hoping for some information from a more neutral source. Not that the live blog isn't informative, just very biased.

mikefrombrooklyn, this is a thing where if you want information about what it is to the people who practice it, you're going to have to go to them for it. Most folks who don't practice it also seem singularly unwilling to discuss it seriously and there are far too many who revel in any opportunity to bash the people who do believe in it.

It's closely related to healthy multiplicity; here's one of their definitions.

Madrugada's right in that neutral sources really don't exist.
