I discovered this one through this wiki's article about it. It appears to have just completed a story arc, so I guess now's as good a time as any to start archive binging.

I like how the comic switches back and forth between Urban Fantasy Kitchen Sink and Slice of Life—as I've written elsewhere on this wiki, this is a world where The Masquerade is in full effect, and our main viewpoint character is a Muggle.

And, while I'm not happy with the soap-opera-ish events of the latest story arc, I do respect the author for a story direction and conclusion that I never expected.

I stumbled across this comic recently and archive binged it over a couple nights. I'm enjoying it quite a bit, including the art style, characters, the humor. The drama doesn't bother me at all; I think it's handled rather well, even in the most recent arc.

This is one hidden gem. :-)

Aside from Brad Pitt, this is pretty much how my mornings go these days.

It does quite a few things just right, I can't deny that. Have been following this one for quite a while now. Best enjoyed Archive Binged because of the rather lengthy story arcs.

My main point of criticism is that the whole Fantasy Kitchen Sink and Slice of Life stuff doesn't really seem to mix well, and are completely kept separate from each other. One might call this a deliberate artistic choice, but I can't help but wonder that the author wanted to write two different stories and couldn't quite decide which one to go with.

I lost the thread of the true timeline ever since the breakup. Her penchant for side stories and flashbacks, and the Christmas and new year's side stories, didn't help.

Is this a flashback we're in now?

Pretty sure this is the present.

Dang.

So, speculation that Something Big Is Happening aside, the angels' dialogue seems to imply that God is somewhere else and the angels are trying to carry out his plan in his absence.

I'm curious where this latest arc is going. And by "curious" I mean I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, because this is suspiciously nice.

Well, that's interesting. So we have someone who is acquainted to Lucifer showing up out of nowhere and using crazy romcom schemes to attract our protagonist.

This won't go anywhere nice.

But, was he deliberately trying to attract K's attention, or was his running into her just a crazy coincidence?

Granted, the latter is a reach. But I'm not willing to completely discount it yet.

According to the latest comic - not a coincidence.

Encountered angels back in LA? Does that mean our soundtrack composer is the sniper?

Probably, yes. Good memory you got there.

Just started reading the comic. Am I the only one to think K looks a bit like Antimony?

I thought so too. At one point (I think slightly later than the page you linked) she even has a hair clip in the same place that Annie used to wear hers. I can't help but wonder if it's a deliberate shoutout. Sage definitely knows about GC; I've seen her fanart.

I have to say the current schedule slippage is rather painful.

How sad.

This hasn't updated since '11?

Is the artist alright?

Apparently it might be back. There's activity on Sagedono's Deviant Art page and there's also a swanky new website! http://rakugakiwall.com/blip/
