Bah, I hate reading other peoples reviews. It influences my decision of whether to buy the game.

But I'm glad I did. Even if it was easy and I regretted the ending. Because I'm still playing the extra events and will have the game at hand until I finish them.

But I still believe in multiple Alexes.

But it's reviewing.

But then, I leave myself too open to other people's critiques these days. XP

While reviewing the game!

Only less formally.

Or just viewing parts of it again.

XP Never mind the semantics. Have you seen those videos to unlock with the Radnet challenges? They're...not all that special really.

Wow, I never thought Zero Punct's writing can be so spot on about the premise. I too, gave the Prototype team too much credit when I think it back

I generally like the DLC for the game, at least as much as someone who's waiting for the PC release.

Does anyone have any screenshots of Agile Armor Alex Mercer?

So at this point what's the general consensus on the game? I heard about the spoilery thing about Mercer for this game and it really put me off because I found it's kind of against what happened in the original game.

In general does the story and gameplay make this worth a buy?

The story is...a continuation. I'm glad I bought it—I like continuing stories.

Hehe, and I like the Excessive Force pack. Chaos Creator is fun for seeing everyone go mad in the uninfected zones. Though the skins are whatever...

The Force Multipliers make it fun, though since they're effectively cheats and lock out game progress they're very...final.

I'm going to throw it out there — not having played the game at all, you understand, but having read a fair bit about it — that the story isn't harmonious with the first. Zero Punctuation made that pretty clear to me.

The story is a bit bleh, but for me this is the videogame equivalent of a dumb action movie. I'm not playing for the story, I'm playing to blow shit up and deliver punches to which the term 'blast radius' can be applied. It delivers on that front for sure.

I can't see me playing much in the forseeable future now though, having today completed all the challenges and events to at least gold standard.

Coming from a guy who liked the first game, for it's story and gameplay I feel I wouldn't enjoy the second. Something about the whole thing seems off to me.

That's so sad. It should be like Halo where even if the studio is gone another studio can do the next one.

The story really, really brought the game down. Mercer's development was so well done and subtle in the first game then the second comes out and it completely erases him.

They also changed how jumping works and I never really got used to it.

The DLC packs are also hilariously priced. Maybe Gun Runners Arsenal just spoiled me but charging five bucks for so little content is upsetting.

The core gameplay is still there and still fun though. Every power feels useful this go around and I found myself using a little bit of everything.

It's worth renting on the weekend, if nothing else. If it ever comes out with a "complete" copy with all the DLC for like 30-40 bucks I'll probably pick it up myself.

Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?

The change in characterization was clumsily handled. That's why you don't make cross-media tie-ins when not all video game fans are comic or viral fans.

Mercer's character shift is explained in the tie in stuff?

Radical suffered layoffs after the first Prototype launched it's a shame they had to flat out kill the company cause it didn't rake in massive sales.
