Doing nothing is a choice. She won't be getting very much without THIS.
-holds up Aya's camera-
A reporter without a camera. Some would call it impossible.
Aya would call it illegal.
I have no horse, and I must ride. I accomplish unlockments.Except she prolly has multiple
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowI'll "borrow" a spellcard from Reimu then.

"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowLighting stuff on fire in Touhou only makes it work better.

I have no horse, and I must ride. I accomplish unlockments.Great. Fire Tengus. I thought this game was cheap enough. Good going.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.....Craaap....
CIRNO! HALP!
The downside of Aya winning is that I'll actually have to write something about Aya.
Daiyousei - The Biggest One
Daiyousei never asked to be big. In fact, she didn't notice that she was big until she flew by a different fairy and heard her say "hey big fairy!". She looked down at the scrappy little ice fairy and said "huh? me?". The ice fairy tapped her a few times and said "yeah, you! You wanna go play hide and seek?". Just like that, she got her nickname, as well as a new friend.
She occasionally thought about being big (well, to the extent that fairies think) when Cirno wasn't dragging her along on one of her adventures. Being big meant that the other fairies looked up to her. Being big meant that her wood powers were a bit stronger than those of the rest of the fairies, besides Cirno and a few others. It implied strength, importance, authority, all things that Dai-chan never really had.
In hindsight, she thought, it was unsurprising that she was always picked first when the fairies played their games, that she was often the one who got the hardest part of any scheme. It made perfect sense that the little ice fairy liked her. Unlike Daiyousei, the ice fairy was strength, importance and authority. She was simply seeking out her own kind.
As she thought about it, she decided that she didn't want to be the big fairy. She wasn't strong or important. She just wanted to be a regular fairy.
But then, the ice fairy flew by, yelling at Daiyousei to help her with some ice sculpture scheme. As she flew after the ice fairy, Daiyousei decided that it wasn't bad being a big fairy as long as she stayed with the ice fairy. The ice fairy was a leader, a power, a bunch of charisma. She'd take care of being the big fairy for her.
And from that day, the two were inseperable.
Well, that was kind of rushed.
you'll then have a grave in the clouds where you won't lie too crampedMan. First you make her your avatar, and now you're going to write something about her? If you love Aya so much, why don't you marry her?
make little half tengu babbys
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowRushed or not, I liked that. I personally never really thought about how Daiyousei would think about being "big" like that.

Write-up:
Extra! Extra! Honest and pure traditional reporter Aya Shameimaru now in the spotlight of the New Touhou Character Alternate Interpretation Compendium! Read all about her remarkable success story in the newest Bunbunmaru Newspaper!
There are people in Gensokyo who play a big role in the grand scheme of things because they are powerful. Some are just crafty, or at least have their ways on stepping on people's toes. Many of them are important simply because they do what they want, and know how to get it. Aya combines all three of these into a dangerous black crow of ill omen that has made enemies everywhere in Gensokyo, by sheer virtue of always being there and always being her.
The tengu are a race of youkai who have formed a caste society built on thousands of years of proud tradition that appears to be chiefly based on being a huge nuisance to everyone around. While they are some of the most powerful youkai around, they also have a great passion for collecting news and writing about them... and if you anger a proud tengu, you'll either be swept away by a deadly tornado, or suffer the fate of constant rumors about you being carried everywhere the wind blows.
While Aya's newspaper isn't itself remarkable among the many Tengu publications, the reporter herself probably is. Although being in an abusive relationship with the truth means her paper's reputation is not stellar, it also means that interviewees will want to read the interviews just to see how they end up being represented. Most readers, however, buy it simply for the spectacular photography, likely displaying a danmaku battle in full splendor. Indeed, Aya is everywhere where there is something, and if she's somewhere where you don't want her, you won't have an easy time making her be elsewhere. She's been known to win difficult battles by accident.
The jury is still out on whether Aya is truly a horrible person, or just a strong woman with a mind of her own, a free spirit and the voice of Aya Hirano. One thing is certain, however: Aya is everywhere, and it's never boring with her around.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm surprised Illusionary Dominance isn't one of the bolded spellcards, considering it's her most prolific one, appearing in MOF, DS, and SWR

"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowIllusionary Dominance is an interesting name.
Also, I kind of want someone to stick out their leg when she's doing it but I think that would end poorly for everyone involved.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI have no idea what you're talking about and I suspect you must be insane
okaaaay I go to sleep now
But first, I must convey something to you
And that is the possible origins of the title of Aya's newspaper.

Ah, the crow tengu.
I think the two main ideas that drive Aya are pride and independence. She's very proud of both herself and her people, proud of the power that she holds among her people, proud of her unmatched speed. At the same time, she refuses to let herself get tied down in her society's strict categorizations. Sure, she's still an information gatherer, but she's her own woman and she'll always try to satisfy her own interests.
you'll then have a grave in the clouds where you won't lie too crampedSometimes when you're part of a group, you've got to something something? That quote?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersPeerless Wind God is bolded, and it's Illusory Dominance+. Having said that, yeah, Illusory Dominance is the more well known version.
Bohemian Archive. Read it for Aya being rude to other people.
Heart of Stone
Alright, it looks like next will be the Shameimaru.
And despite Ran and Yukari's best efforts, she is not a shikigami.
