I think it would be more interesting if you played as some sort of conspiracy (thus allowing for more varied gameplay and settings) but the idea has real merit
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnNote, I haven't read anything on Twitter from Paradox unless it was linked in this thread.
There was a comment on that linked thread that stated people were clamoring for Vickie three right now because Paradox literally said they weren't going to announce Vickie three, but then went on to describe their project in a way that very much sounded like Vickie three.
And Paradox acting annoyed could be for any reason. Maybe it's legit not Vickie three coming out, or maybe they're tired of people guessing it right, or maybe they're NOT annoyed, just playing that way to throw the rest of you off. Fact is we just don't know. We won't know until it comes out, because anything. They could be trolling us with all of this. They could ultimately troll us by announcing Vickie three, only for the real game that comes out to be totally different. I won't believe anything any company says, until I have a product on my screen in front of me.
Latest teaser regarding the not announced new Paradox title
Triumph's new game will either be Age of Wonders 4: Shadow magic returns or a new IP
New theme music also a boxWell, if it was sounding like Victoria before and they're mentioning the Bard now, I'd say it's going to be Elizabeth !. Which is okay, but it kinda overlaps the timeline of Europa Universalis without visiting anywhere new (as if they could with that game anyway.) It could work as a tech demo for Victoria III the way Sengoku did for CK 2, but on its own merits? It seriously risks suffering the same fate as Sengoku.
At this point, I'm hoping for an original IP.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I hope it's another grand strategy game but maybe something like a fantasy sort of Stellaris; a civilization builder where you play as a noble kingdom of heroes or become an evil overlord.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I would love that.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnIf I could play as a relatively benevolent Necrocracy ruled by a Noble Demon lich king, I'd play it.

That might be it xD You could learn Necromancy and make armies of skeletons, breed hordes of orcs, summon demons, put great heroes in command of your armies, stuff like that.
Almost like Dominions but more fun, accessible, and graphically impressive.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Okay, apparently Anderson is done with this shit
Did you want angels tattoing it on your retina as well?

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. No Norway on the map probably means it takes place during the Halmar Union when Denmark controlled Norway.
Wait, what? Is it actually announced?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.It will be far east game which will be continuously expended towards west with DLC. Map expansions will stop at eastern Europe and Norway will be included as off-map power.

Around 18 minutes left until the announcement show starts
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Huh, Paradox is getting into boardgame publishing, starting with boardgame versions of most of their games. Do we need to make a thread in Tabletop Games?
Considering Europa Universalis was orginally a board game, Paradox just went full circle.
They also confirmed that you'll be able to marry a horse in the CK2 board game.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. For those curious there's a forum post which has a summary of noteworthy features in Imperator: Rome.
For those who are unwilling or unable to view Paradox's forum here it is:
Imperator: Rome’s features include:
Character Management: A living world of characters with varying skills and traits that will change over time. They will lead your nation, govern your provinces and command your armies and fleets. We also introduce our new, more human-like character art.
Diverse Populations: Citizens, freemen, tribesmen and slaves - each population with its own culture and religion. Whether they fill your armies, fill your coffers or fill your colonies, keep an eye on their happiness - your success depends on their satisfaction.
Battle Tactics: Choose your approach before battle to counter the stratagems of your foes.
Military Traditions: Each culture has a unique way of waging war. Romans and Celts have different options available to them. Unlock unique bonuses, abilities and units.
Different Government Types: Manage the senate in a Republic, hold your court together in a monarchy, answer to the clans in a tribal system.
Barbarians and Rebellions: Migrating barbarians may sack or settle your best land, while disloyal governors or generals can turn against you - taking their armies with them!
Trade: Goods provide bonuses to their home province. Will you take advantage of stockpiles for local strength or trade excess goods to spread the wealth around?
Provincial Improvement: Invest in buildings, roads and defences to make your kingdom stronger and richer.
I have to say this is simply incredible, I never knew that I wanted it
Frankly I'm kind of glad it wasn't Victoria 3, this way the community reaction is less likely to include mindless nostalgia and unrealistically high expectations. This is much more likely to lead to community discussion that won't lead to me wanting to (hyperbolically) tear out my hair.

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnNaval Focused expansion for hearts of Iron IV
As a dedicated Communist Japan player, hell fucking yes.....
I rely so much on navy, I am going to get huge mileage out of this one, I just hope I can make a Yamato with a flight deck.
I assume the new fuel resource will also apply to tanks, not just to ships? Because that might be a direct nerf to tank armies.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.I tried to play EU:R, but, without UI improvements that EU3 accumulated over time, it feels super cumbersome to play. I wouldn't mind to see those ideas realized in more modern game. So... how long till we can start bugging devs about China?
Holy Fury looks very good. If it's as good as it sounds, I may consider purchasing it on release. Societies and China may be nice features (and power creep), but let's be completely honest - they are nothing more than glorified shop.

Conquering Mars; the sequel to Surviving Mars.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.
