Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. (YMMV) From the radio show I was listening to, it's a fairly common criticism that his information will directly/indirectly lead to assassinations.

...We should submit this thread to Wikileaks.

Frankly, I don't see how Wikileaks being the new Yellow Pages is a Moral Event Horizon...

I'd argue Well-Intentioned Extremist, with a heaping side order of Honor Before Reason and Jerkass. His intentions are noble (bringing information out into the public eye, increasing government transparency, etc.), but he clearly isn't giving much thought to the ramifications of the leaks. He's gunning straight for his principles, without considering that there may be negative consequences.

That's my opinion.

Quite the opposite.

[up] I don't know, he seems to practically define the Knight Templar trope to me.

He's got good intents, but gets so paranoid that they're out to get him (because they are, tbh), blinded by his own ideals he can't see the potential negative impacts and is very close  *

to being a bad thing himself.

He strongly, truely believes he is doing unquestionably the right thing. He's completely merciless about doing it, too. Pretty much fits exactly in Knight Templar.

Kmight Templar implies a commitment to "law and order" and against freedom. Assange is more of a Knave Templar.

[up] By that logic you can call the US "Better-than-you"-attitude (self-proclaimed world-leading country) the same...

... hmm, maybe he could qualify for both "Younger Than They Look" in terms of grey hair, and "Older Than They Look" in terms of facial appearance otherwise?
