Anime/Manga That Should NEVER Be Given A Hollywood Adaptation

In other threads we've discussed what manga/anime could be decently adapted by Hollywood into a live-action movie. Here I thought we might discuss what manga/anime series Hollywood shouldn't even think about adapting.

I'd say Mahou Sensei Negima. A big part of the story's premise is a ten year old boy being put in lots of sexually suggestive situations. While I think something like that could be done in a Hollywood production, it would have to be a small, low-budget cult movie; there's no way it would ever get the kind of funding necessary to pull off Negima's special effects.

Naruto. I love the series to death but there is no way it will ever work as a live action movie.

^ That one I'm not so sure about. Though, admittedly, it would have to a very Pragmatic Adaptation.

Hellsing would look ridiculous.

Paprika.

I think of Paprika as Inception + The Matrix.

[up] Beat me to it.

Also, I'm fairly certain that One Piece would be just plain silly as a movie.

I'm in your fanfiction, correcting your spelling.

I believe most of Gainax's anime would never work as movies Though Fooly Cooly might work if it turns out like Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.

^Following this theme, Gurren Lagann. Not only would it be impossible to render Gurren Lagann (the mech) in anything approaching believable CG, Gurren Lagann (the series) just uses too many artistic techniques like chiaroscuro and such to translate well into live-action, let alone Hollywood live-action.

It's been fun.

To Aru Majutsu No Index

Mahou Sensei Negima

The CGI budget would have to be through over 9000 roofs for these to work well.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial

I can only imagine the uproar that would be caused by a movie of that....

Why not Angel Cop?

Also, Live Action KNJ wouldn't be the first film about taboo relationships... I haven't read it so I don't know if there's anything else in there you guys are worried about.

Why not Angel Cop?

For the same reason why not MD Geist, Pilot Candidate, or Asura Cryin.

I am not familiar with those other three.

I really could see Angel Cop being like what the Evil Dead movies are to horror, but to action/scifi.

Yeah, it does sound So Bad, It's Good from the page. And I've seen clips of funny parts on You Tube.

Also, the weird anti-Semitic thing is sort of horrible and sort of amusing; I didn't even think that most Japanese people knew who Jews were, let alone cared about them. Then again, they were with Germany in World War II, so maybe it's just a weird form of cultural osmosis, or cultural telephone, or whatever you'd call it.

I haven't seen the original Japanese, I shoulda mentioned that.

There haven't been enough cheesy, campy action movies.
