Don't blame Brad, blame the wankers that came up with region coding on DVDs.

I'm not blaming Brad for anything. I am kinda blaming the Walkaway site for not making it clearer to non-tech folks exactly what "region-free" meant. It sounds like it'd play on more things, not less.

I sent an email to Ryan Mitchelle at Walkaway a while back telling him my disc arrived blank before finding out any of this. Dude seems genuinely pissed on my behalf and told me to email their disc manufacturer to complain. Apparently they've been getting a lot of complaints.

So, I've spoken with a tech-savvy friend of mine, and according to him, if a region-free DVD plays as blank on your computer, it is in fact a blank disc.

And air is breathable.

Well, the impression around here seemed to be the disc wasn't playing due to region problems.

I'm sorry I'm not particularly tech-savvy.

No, if a player can't play it due to region issues, it flat-out tells you.

It was cool hearing Brad talk about the influence Tarrantino's films have had on him. I've only just started watching these films in the past few months and I love (most of) them to death.

I have just seen 80's Dan get busted by Chris Hansen.

This is becoming my top Christmas ritual.

So, got a second disc.

My computer doesn't notice it's there. I pull up Computer, go to the DVD Drive and it tells me to insert a disc.

How is it a spoiler if it occurs before the first advert? This isn't exactly Battlestar Galactica, "ace."
