Chakotay looks better without the hair gel.
I'm a skeptical squirrelThere was a funny post on the old Voyager discussion groups on how they get Mulgrew's bun that shape. At one point they used so much hair gel and spray that Mulgrew's hair was attract dust and her 'do would be ruined and have to be retouched between takes. That's why the hairstyle moved away from the bun over the course of the series.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be a case on The First 48Why didn't they just dye her hair? Maybe she vetoed it.

Eeeegh. Miracle Day.
I'm a skeptical squirrelEwww Torchwood in general.
I have an aversion to Torchwood for a couple of reasons. (As a fan of Angel, I am, simply, predisposed to disliking this stupid knock-off). What really riles me up though - and this is by no means exclusive to Torchwood - is it's a show with no direction, no point, no plot, and no consistent tone. I mean, maybe the show goes over my head, and I just don't get it. I have read the 'redemptive readings' by Phil Sandifer, and even he called the show "hedonistic" and noted that it lacked direction. But overall, he finds subtle things about it to like. So maybe it's an incredibly deep epic. But, you know, Occam's razor. I think Russell loves camp and mania for its own sake.
Torchwood is a whole series devoted to humankind as feeble, helpless ants in a Hobbesian universe. Okay. Now, add lots of camp, characters having more sex in a season than most of us do in a lifetime, and Cyberwoman titties.

I'm a skeptical squirrelUgh Miracle Day, just knowing how fucking sick and dark that and COE are is why I never got into Torchwood.
I for one think I will finally watch Miracle Day so I can watch reviews of it.
And I liked Children of Earth.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe. The Doomsday machine!

I'm a skeptical squirrelso yeah theres a LOT of doctor who reviews and two cowboy bebop reviews there.
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."Those are all old reviews. I't just blips' usual tendency to sccrew itself once in a while.
oh are they?
oh well
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."Chuck examines the cancellation of Doctor Who
I just realized that Who was canceled just as Star Trek television was really taking off with the third season of TNG, and Who then brought back just as ST TV limped to the finish with the end of Enterprise.
Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...Nash of Channel Awesome did mention this in his review of the "Sea Devils".
It kinda dovetails with what Sf Debris said about Star Trek: when a franchise is out of ideas and starts to rot, it's time to put it on the self.
Maybe they had to go away for a bit to comeback fresh. In Doctor Who's case, not be screwed by the higher ups in the BBC.
