I honestly respect the man, and I thought he really gave us a great finisher there. You were rather respectful too. It's people just completely complaining that bothered me. But eh.

So, what, are we going to start deleting our pages for works that discuss pedophilia? Would I be banned for starting a page on one such work? (This is a serious question.)

Works that exhibit it may get deleted. However, there's a difference between a page and a topic. An actual work, who knows. But what is specific is that topics related to it are to not exist whatsoever.

No, we already established that we can list the works that contain it, as we would list any other. We aren't compromising the integrity of the wiki to satisfy the complainers. We should, however, be very careful to be strictly objective in handling the trope list and description.

The reason we ban discussions is because it's pretty much impossible to avoid the subject of apologetics when you have a ongoing conversation.

If I'm going to hamper a guess, it's that only the ones who are banned and the admins/mods can review the entire topic. Perhaps to prevent off-topic/gravedancing?

I didn't do that. Eddie's trying to reset the thread and restrict it so only mods and bannees can post. He seems to have done something weird to it as a result.

I am totally for it. If it prevents all the crap, sounds good to me.

As for those who were bounced, yeah, PM's work fine.

Good to hear that's happening. Not-A-Modding would be okay if it were limited to one person, say, posting a link to the appropriate ATT thread to save some time, but it almost never actually worked out that way.
