Well, I'd never really considered the line in that context before, and I have a rather childlike fondness for horrible puns and scatological humour, so... yeah.

DeMarquis gets and MOFW for spelling "Gaddafi" differently each time he mentions "Quadaffy" in the Arab Spring thread. Since the name has so many spelling conventions that are all "correct", it's amusing to see the name misspelled consistently, until there's at least 100 different spellings. A great Running Gag.

Link?

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

Well, here's the previous post from DeMarquis. It has Gaddafi's name spelled as Qaaddaffi, plus a more correct spelling "Qaddafi" inside a quote (in which case I suspect the name's spelling was kept intact.)

I don't remember when he started writing Gaddafi's name differently every time, but I'm pretty sure I'm not exaggerating when I say there's been at least 100 variations, as there sometimes are as many as 3 or 4 different spellings of the name in a single post.

From a page I picked randomly, this quote contains the spellings "Qaadafy" and "Qaddify".

Another randomly picked post, this one has "Quadaffy" and "Quaddafi".

This is very old but I thought it was hilarious at the time... and now...

I just didn't know this thread existed.
