Don't remember if we already talked about "House-ton" vs. "Hews-ton"?
We did. I brought it up as a tell to see if people in NYC are tourists or not.
#1817: Incognito Mode, AKA "Animorphs Tech Tips".
Ooookay.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I think it's referring to the general nature of browsing for any period of time naturally opens up more and more tabs, until you're constantly just using the Incognito mode browser. It might also be a jab at attempting to protect your privacy and search history, especially in light of the Internet privacy laws repeal, but probably not.
I get the joke. It's just... weird. Like why would anyone (other than White Beret Guy) take tech advice from a kids' cartoon.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Animorphs was never a cartoon though. It was a children's book series (that evolved into a teen/young adult series as it went on, and a short-lived live action show on Nick. And I guess he referenced it because the two-hour morph lock was just a handy reference?
I consider it YA from the beginning. Though it did get a lot darker in the last third.
Fresh-eyed movie blogOh yeah, definitely. Some of the stuff they did later on in the series made me do a double-take and ask "Wow, did they really just do that?"
This is such a random joke. There's not even, like, a pun in there.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Just realized that xkcd comic #1002 is now outdated because a computer has now consistently beat a top human player at Go.

That was Wednesday's comic.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Woops, sorry. ^_^;;
I like to keep my audience riveted.I swear he's done #1818 before.
Also, I think computers are starting to consistently beat humans in poker as well.

I like it. It really is a simple explanation that works. Sure you can go into all the little details about Rayleigh Scattering, but you don't see people go into all that detail when someone asks why plants are green.
Her attempt to explain lift is a bit more suspect, though.

That is one weird teacher. XD
I like to keep my audience riveted.@Arha Do you mean this page?
It was going so well until it exploded.Nope. Apart from the thing about flapping wings powering airplanes I've pretty much seen this exact strip before.
Though I suppose it may not have been xkcd.

reminds me of several calvine and hobbes strips with the dad
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeYeah... this one does nothing for me.
I'm assuming Randall means "The 1988 Los Angeles Lakers lineup today" and not "The 1988 Los Angeles Lakers in 1988", because if it's the latter they are the obvious winners here as they won the NBA finals that year. The former makes things a bit more ambiguous.
Sidenote: I did not know this fact until 5 minutes ago and thought Randall might be making a joke about a legendarily awful team.
I don't know anything about the Lakers being awful, but I do know the NBA finals are rigged, making March Madness kinda moot
Well, only half Latin. "Knob" is English.
Worldbuilding is fun, writing is a chore
