He geassed Nunnally only because he had already consigned himself to a Suicide by Cop Genghis Gambit. Would he have done that circa Turn 18 had he managed to come face to face with her then, ostensibly saving her then and there? I think not.

The JFL leader he killed threatened to kill him first. Case of first blood.

Clovis had been massacring Japanese ghetto residents. It was partly because of that, and also to put the Empire on notice.

He could have geassed everyone into treating Elevens with more respect, but that would have surely run afoul of, say, Charles. Besides, this was pretty much a fight against an Empire that was oppressing the world. To geass eveyone in the world into giving the numbers their rights back would be a tall order.

IIRC it was originally Clovis' Geass Research team, and after his death Schneizel took over, at least in terms of funding the more 'public' operations (he didn't know anything about Geass until late Season 2).

Or it was that after Clovis' death, his Research team was assimilated into V.V.'s Geass Directorate.

Anyone know what type of lubricant is used for KM Fs?

I hate with they did with the Knights of the Round. You have the perfect foil to the Black Knights and counterpart of their group. The Satsuki to the Ryuko, Vegetta to Goku, Shadow to Sonic, and you just off them so easily. This of course is one of my issues with the show even if I like the music and artwork.

As long as we're making DBZ comparisons, the Knights of the Round were more like the Ginyu Force. They're supposed to be strong in theory, but they still get their asses kicked relatively easily with only a couple of exceptions. If you want to talk about rivalries comparable to Goku and Vegeta, then the equivalents would be Lelouch vs. Suzaku or at least Kallen vs. Suzaku in terms of purely combat abilities.

Does anyone know if Funimation has made any plans to re-release the show on DVD like they did with Cowboy Bebop {Which, just like this show, had also been dubbed by the now-gone Bandai Entertainment}? The only DVD's I can find are the old ones, which are ridiculously expensive.

Yeah I would not mind getting the dvd's also curious if they will redub it.

^Redubbing it would mean more money to be spent. Yeah, I know that they did that with Sailior Moon, but to my knowledge the Code Geass dub didn't mess up anything unlike the original SR dub. They also kept the original Cowboy Bebop dub intact, so I'm hoping they do the same with Code Geass {The dub for is how I watched it to begin with}. Then again, I don't really know how the buisness side of dubbed anime works to begin with.

So Shin Hyuga Shaing has one of the most insane villain goals I've ever seen. For what I've seen thus far, he's been essentially a "chaos for the sake of chaos" kind of villain.

Though his Not So Different remark toward Suzaku...gotta ponder the meaning of that.

I mean Suzaku desires pain for himself, but wanting suffering and hell for the world...

Has anybody heard about rumors of an R3 coming out? I've seen a post about it but not much source wise even though an episode list was included.

Why would there be an R3 it's clear from the ending the series does not have to continue. If there was a third season I would not mind seeing how all the countries are doing mainly Britannia it seems like it's screwed.

So how's the new Exiled thing? I haven't seen it.

As in, I'm pretty sure that I remember literally nothing about it because of how absurdly spaced out the episode releases are.

4 of the 5 Akito the Exiled episodes are out. The 5th one was delayed to February of next year.

Delays this is why NON can't be adapted it would take ages...

No R3, but there's supposedly an aniversary project coming out, which people suspect is gonna be an alternate retelling of the series, ala the Macross Frontier movies, or Rebuild of Evangelion.

Not like it matters. GG is dead so there's nobody to provide us with fabulous subs.

HH could step up for us might not be fab though...
