He spent a whole lot of energy and resources being mostly useless in that arc, to the point where it nearly got everyone killed. We should reward that kind of behavior!

How is this a retcon? Why should Annie and Jim be the only ones allowed to have private sessions with the GM where they do things they don't want the rest of the party to know about yet?

Remembering and keeping track of the whereabouts of powerful plot coupons to obtain them after everyone has forgotten about them is completely in-character for Pete.

I doubt he would have revealed it if the situation (DM) hadn't forced his hand, though. Which I suspect he's trying to smokescreen a bit with that monologue.

I agree, this is 100% in character for Pete.

I agree that it's in character; that was never part of my concern.

I took it for granted that Pete hd the orb from a few throwaway lines form previous. Too lazy to find the strips but i know he's made at least on other mention of having a thing of great power up his sleeve.
