Wasn't there a sequel where she did marry Rolfe? Or almost did. It was kinda romantic comedy-esque.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Oh, I know that. I mean, the Disney movie suck at keeping fidelity to fictional stories. What else would I expect from actual history? I just meant I have some idea about what the hell you are talking about*.
The Disney movie doesn't just fail history. It fails geography.
Jamestown is located on the Chesapeake Bay. Being a tidewater region, below the fall line, you know something the Chesapeake has a lot of? Not-waterfalls. And plenty of not-mountains to not put them on.
You have to head quite a ways inland before you get any mountain rivers to majestically dive off a handy cliff into.

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?also diving from that height = splat. but we all knew that already.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartAnd that's ignoring the depiction of Native societies of the time, from what I understand. :o

In other news, it suddenly occurs to me that despite previous expectations that we would get to see Jones meet Coyote we probably won't see it. Assuming the backwards trend continues, and since 1106 is her just arriving in America, it means we've skipped entirely over their first meeting.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Do we know when Coyote came over to Europe?
Trump delenda estNo. All we know is that he came to the Court shortly after it was founded, with Renard and Ysengrin in tow. No telling how long he hung around with them before moving on to Gillitie.

The baby bat/ Screamed out in fright,/ 'Turn on the dark,/ I'm afraid of the light.'Hmmm, it is unclear if the spear penetrated or not. She is supper heavy, so, I guess, she is super dense.
But she always seems so intelligent...

Untitled Power Rangers StoryIs it some ancestor of Zeta in the background?
edit: never mind. Probably not, she has normal eyes on the picture at lower left.

"Atheism is the religion whose followers are easiest to troll"I don't picture Jones attacking anyone, unless she's protecting someone else.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I don't get the vibe that she would even do that much. From what we've seen of how she works and fights she seems devoted to minimizing action and responding only.
"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."Killing them would serve no purpose. Might make more people chase her down. Easier to just leave.
Plus, it's not like the guy with the spear can actually hurt her.
So at this point, I'm guessing this will end with Jones riding a dinosaur for three panels, the symbol in the right hand corner, and a "mystery solved!"
I don't think much in that current time period could actually hurt Jones.
Except, you know, magic or somethin'.
But that's just cheating.
Eh... Annie is pretty upset right now. I think it may actually be time for us to get a good explanation of Jones. We might get more jokes about how the mystery is solved and robots and stuff from Tom but that won't be the final answer.

Someone up there somewhere postulated about one of the villagers being related to Zimmy Zims, before noticing that their eyes were back to normal in a later panel. Maybe that was deliberate on Tom's part. Could Jones be experiencing the ether in a similar way as Zimmy?
I think that was just a stylistic choice.
It's also possible that Smith thought his life was saved because he was unaware that it was a ritual.
Which means that you're basically completely ignorant of the actual events. The movie is for crap as to historical authenticity.
I was dissapointed that they didn't have Jones at Roanoke.
