It's interesting how the change in facial expression, hairstyle and outfit really does turn Tony into an entirely different person. It looks like Donald and Surma might be some of the very few people who ever got to meet the "real" Tony. James certainly didn't.

Surma liked Tony because when he opened up, he was fun, was willing to show new things, was weirdly hot, passionate, and possibly a bit broken.
I wonder if the story will become Annie breaking a cycle stuck in her family.

It's amazing how well this comic is written.
When Tony first appeared and fucked things up, we were all "Man, fuck Tony!"
And now we're more like "Man, fuck, Tony..."
We're recognizing him as a flawed individual who does cause problems but ultimately may just be another cog in a great cyclical event.
