Their friendship is all the more surprising when you consider the fact that Ysengrin has tried to murder her twice (or maybe thrice?) in the past.

Annie's good at not taking things personally. She knows what it's like to rage on the inside.

She's so good at not taking things personally that it surprises her when others do, like we saw last chapter.

Like she said before, many of her friends have almost gotten her killed.

Going back a few pages to many people feeling like the comic is approaching a kind of end-game, this chapter makes me feel that no, we're way off the endgame, but I feel we are coming into a new section, perhaps one (a few chapters down the track), where we learn why Jeanne was put down there.
