Actually no definitely the first one, while I think girl Naruto would work very well in this series the fated family stuff MUST go

Remove the Uchiha's blood connection to Kaguya and the Sage of the Six paths. That one change would alter a significant portion of the story and keep the Plot Tumor from ever starting to grow.

I think in that case the tumour would just exist without the Uchiha. It wouldn't be AS bad, but it's still damage the plot heavily.

The way it would go in my mind, it would ultimately allow Sasuke to either die in irrelevance or redeem him faster so he never plays into any reincarnation shenanigans or try to pull a Zero-Approval Gambit.

It would also prevent Itachi and Madara from...becoming what they are. Itachi would die a villain and Madara would never become the Ten-tails host.

Tobi would have to stay an Uchiha to be relevant to Kakashi, which would also prevent him from becoming the Ten Tails host.

With no one to host the Ten Tails, Kaguya never shows up. If Kaguya never shows up then neither will Hagoromo.

Kabuto would be the Final Boss.

I'd also go with the Fated Family stuff as well. The Uchiha's can still be important but their importance shouldn't feel so contrived.

One thing ? remove the importance of the Uchihas to the plot... Or the Uchihas themselves. By the way, this annoys me when you assume that you are the last survivor of something... And you're not. This bugs me with the saiyans, the Geass users, the kryptonians and the uchihas.

At least in code geass, one could justify by saying C.C and especially V.V found a lot of people to contract the geass for a plan, but for a clan that was supposed to be extinct, I found 7 uchihas if we count Solid Shin, Liquid Shin and Salad.

Goku was never the last survivor of the Saiyan race and it's never stated that he is. In fact, it only gets brought up when Raditz shows up and at that point Goku has a son. So there's a minimum of 3 Saiyans. And as Raditz dies he lets them know that he has Saiyan companions.

Sasuke was never the last survivor of Uchihas until the end of the manga. In his first arc, he lets Naruto knows that he has a brother out there.

And in Sasuke and Itachi's final fight, Itachi lets him in on Madara Uchiha. We were never led to believe that Sasuke was the last survivor.

Raditz actually mentions that four Saiyans survived the explosion in his original Info Dump. So, they're introduced as a race of four survivors and stay that way for the entire manga.

And Tarble (I would gladly say Turles and Broly, but they're not canon)

Okay, I badly made my claim, but for the most part, only Sasuke and Itachi survived, it's only at Shippuden that there may be a third one, and after pain, madara shows up, etc... So yes, Neither Sasuke nor Goku were the sole survivor, but you see what I mean ?

Tarble isn't in the manga, which is what I was talking about.
