YMMV / Yu-Gi-Oh! RUSH DUEL: Dawn of the Battle Royale!!

  • Anti-Climax Boss: Nail is first introduced using Yggdrago to curb-stomp Roa, building him up as a real threat, and serves as the Final Boss of the main storyline. However, he turns out to be an absolute joke of a fight since a Maximum Summoned Yggdrago is the only real threat in his entire deck and the rest of his monsters have extremely weak stats, including the Yggdrago pieces that he's all too eager to Set or use as discard fodder. By contrast, the player gets a preconstructed deck with several strong Tribute Summons, meaning that despite the game making a big deal about Maximum Summoning, you probably won't see a single Maximum Summon since he can easily be beaten down the old-fashioned way long before he gets all three cards in hand (and playing beatdown is a lot less clunky than trying to perform a Maximum Summon using the deck you get).
  • Scrappy Mechanic: The game does not allow you to create custom decks until you beat the main campaign, or through an obtuse Easter Egg. Pair that with the Yuga starter deck being an obscene Disc-One Nuke with a bunch of strong Spellcaster support, and players often have no real incentive to even visit the shop and Complacent Gaming Syndrome starts to set in very quickly.
